Beautiful, challenging desert course

What a beautiful course, set in the desert with a beautiful mountain backdrop. The course was challenging but quite playable for those of us who are not scratch golfers. The only drawback was the pace of play. There was no marshal to move a slow group along so our round started out well at 2 hours for the front 9, but 3 hours for the back nine was very frustrating.

Challenging course for those unfamiliar

My husband and I are decent golfers but not low handicappers and we found this course very challenging, I call it target golf. The course was beautiful and in great shape but there were few breaks, terrain, hazards and greens were all difficult and the course swallows a lot of balls. In addition there was no descriptive text or layout given so unless you know the course it is easy to get into trouble. Just getting from the 9th tee on Coyote to the next tee on Raddler was challenging and there was no staff to direct us. Overall a bit too challenging for me but a must for low handicappers.

Beautiful desert course

Had a great time playing this course with a local. The course was well laid out and challenging but with plenty of opportunities to do well. Playable at most levels. Great views of the surrounding desert and mountains.

Beautiful fun course

This course is very nice with lots of challenging holes that are playable for most levels of golfers. The front nine was pretty standard desert style but the back nine made beautiful use of the former quarry. I would recommend this course if you are in the neighbourhood.

Challenging scenic course

My husband and I played this course on our first day in Tucson. It is very playable for all levels but there is a lot of sand and we found most of it. The course is easy to navigate, the staff was very nice and they provided guides and advice for newcomers. Overall a pleasant experience for our first round.

Good executive course

Good course to practice your short game. We were fortunate to have the first tee time after a tournament so we had the course to ourselves. The tee boxes were pretty chewed up but by in large the course was in decent shape.

Pretty, challenging course in Muskoka

North Granite Ridge is a good, challenging course. The pace of play was a bit slow but overall decent. The layout and greens were interesting and challenging. We were happy to have a cart because the holes are spaced quite far apart. Overall a good round.

Nice links course by the sea

A nice little course along the ocean. The course was a bit dry so it played fast. The layout was a bit tricky in some spots but good value for money.

Great parkland course by the sea

We enjoyed our round at this course, it was in great shape and a challenge for my husband, brother and I. They were preparing for a weekend tournathe day we played so there were a lot of course workers out which interrupted our play a bit. The Greens were also very challenging, fast and sometimes the wind would push the ball! Overall a great course for the money.

Nice resort course

This course was the most expensive one we played while in Ireland and was a treat to ourselves at the end of our trip. The course was nice and the pace of play was great but there were a couple of things that were a bit disappointing. The staff was not very welcoming when we arrived and in fact told me that I had not paid and proceeded to charge me again at the walk-in rate. I had to recheck and phone back later to get a refund because it was a prepaid time. The other disappointing event was the spraying of chemicals while we were playing. With the windy conditions on the course the fertilizer blew into our faces while we were playing. When we pointed this out to the staff after, we felt they dismissed our concern.

Excellent seaside course

This course was our favorite of the courses we played while in Ireland. The course is right on the ocean, is well laid out, challenging and in good condition. It was very quiet when we played so we were able to play at a great pace. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making the round relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend this course.

Nice parkland course

We got a great deal on this course and a nice day for golf when we played this course. It was challenging but the conditions were excellent and so was the pace of play. What more can you ask for, I recommend this course if you are staying in the area.

A bit of a drive to a beautiful course

Morongo is a bit of a drive from Palm Springs but it is a very nice course with challenges and not as busy as closer courses. The landscape and views are great and the course has interesting terrain and greens. Well worth the drive, especially if you make a day of it by combing with some shopping.

Challenging golf on a beautiful course

A challenging course to start off our golfing holiday but quite playable. The course is in great shape and the pace of play was decent. The views are fabulous as was the staff. Lots of similarly named courses in the area so make sure to program the right one into your GPS and have a great round.

Nice, challenging course

My husband and I played the Valley course on our last day in Palm Desert. It is a challenging course suitable for most levels of players. It was in very good shape although the greens had recently been sanded and were very slow. The pace of play was exactly on time according to the course although seemed slow. The proshop and cart area were very busy and the staff seemed a bit stressed. Overall it was good value for money and we didn't have to travel very far.

Beautiful but windy round

We played the Champion course and saw only a few other players which was great. This is a very challenging course with lots of sand and terrain. The course was a bit wet and mucky in spots but overall in very good condition. The staff did not provide much guidance so we were not sure if we were playing on the correct course (there are 2) but it didn't seem to matter since there were few people about. Good value for money if you are willing to drive a bit from Palm Springs.

Challenging course but slow

Nice course, great views and friendly staff. However, the t-times are close together so the pace is very slow, especially later in the day.

A blustery day on a beautiful course

We got a great deal on golf now to play this course and it was well worth it. The course is challenging but very playable. The course is very scenic, winding it's way through the desert, high up on the side of the mountain. We had a beautiful day and the views were fabulous but it was so windy that myself and the other lady had trouble on the long holes that played into the wind. We walked and it was fine although it would be tough if you are not in good shape. I would highly recommend this course as a must play if you are in the South Okanagan.
