Chicopee Woods Golf Course - Village Nine
Played On 10/19/2017Yes, Go Play Chicopee Woods
This was our first time playing Chicopee Woods and we will be back. I gave it a SOLID 4 Star rating. The staff (pro-shop, starter and rangers) were all outstanding, the fairways and greens were both in excellent condition. The only negative was that both the fairway and greenside bunkers had not been raked. From what we were told this is a ongoing issue as there are rakes but there are many golfers that don't seem to know proper golf course etiquette where it applies to raking bunkers. The course maintenance crew can only do so much and must rely on the golfers to rake the bunkers after use.
There are 27 holes and we played the School and Village nines. It is a hilly course so select the correct tees for your handicap and skill level!!!
Woodmont Golf & Country Club
Played On 11/03/2016Go Play While You Still Can
Go play Woodmont while you still can. They will be going private early 2017 once they reach 450 members. They are at approx 400 at the moment. This is the only Robert Trent Jones Jr course in Georgia. Great lay-out, fast greens, play the correct tees for your game. I choose the Jones (6,200) and it was just perfect for me. Stay left to center on most of your tee shots and your will be in great shape. Be careful not to fade or slice it right as this will give you trouble. The greens are fast and if you are above the flag -pin watch your speed as your putts will run out.
Sugar Hill Golf Club
Played On 10/10/2016Ok, Now go and Play
First time playing Sugar Hill. The staff on Monday was very welcoming, the starter took great care in making sure everything was perfect. I asked to be paired with a group that had played the the course before. They offer a yardage - suggestion book in the Pro-Shop. I would recommend getting one as it made it easier to figure out where to hit the ball on each hole. The course is very hilly and it does require good golf course management. The tees boxes and fairways were in good shape as were the greens. It had only one wacky hole and that was number 9. But overall not a bad course for the money. Go play and have some fun.
Hampton Golf Village
Played On 09/29/2016Go and Play!!!
A nice day and a nice golf course. Very friendly staff. The fairways and greens were in great condition even though we are in drought conditions.. Yes it is a hilly course but if you play the correct tees for your skill level you will have a good time. There are several blind shots but it is what it is so deal with it and have fun. Also take in the scenic views of the N. Georgia Mtns.
So glad you loved the scenery at Hampton Golf Village! We'll pass the compliments to our staff. Thanks for playing!
