The Links at Stoney Point
Played On 04/05/2024Great course but SLOW pace
The course is in great shape, but the pace of play made the afternoon less enjoyable. It took us 5+ hours to play our round as we had to wait before every shot.
Man O' War Golf Course
Played On 06/21/2022Outstanding
This course was well worth the price. I played 3 different courses in 3 days while in Myrtle Beach, and this was by far the best one. From tee to green, it was meticulously maintained. Although water is prevalent around the course, it doesn't create an unplayable round for a golfer like myself (17 handicap). I lost 2 balls during the round due to errant shots into the water. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Man O War.
Leopard's Chase Golf Links at Ocean Ridge Plantation
Played On 06/30/2021Not worth the money
Not worth your money. The course has been over run with weeds, grass is growing in bunkers, bunkers aren’t raked, and greens haven’t been cut in quite some time. I don’t mind playing sub par golf courses, but I expect a certain level of conditions based on the price. This course did not meet those expectations. It’s a difficult track and would be a nice layout had course conditions been better. One person in our group needed rentals and he was given a Nike SQ Sumo driver and woods and Nike Slingshot irons. Both of those were probably manufactured 10+ years ago, I’d guess. Staff was extremely nice and helpful though.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
Played On 07/11/2018The Amelia River Club
Played On 06/27/2018Great course
The course is in great shape right now. And the staff was extremely friendly. There were three golfers in my group, ranging from a bogey golfer to a guy who shot 120. But we all had a great time and enjoyed the course very much. I would definitely play it again and recommend it to a friend. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because there was no on-course beverage cart service. Personally, I feel that for the price point, there should be access to drinks and snacks on the course. For $70+, one can reasonable expect certain amenities.
The Golf Club At Star Fort
Played On 06/20/2018Omni Amelia Island Resort - Ocean Links
Played On 06/27/2016Beautiful Course
Ocean Links is a great course to play if you're in the Amelia Island/Jacksonvillle area. The course is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The holes along the ocean are beautiful, and they will test your shot making and club selection. Two negative marks...One, the course winds through numerous neighborhoods and parking lots. The long distances from green to tee are difficult to follow at times. Two, the course doesn't turn in close proximity to the clubhouse and their is no refreshment cart on course. If you're wanting a snack or drink, then it's best to bring it along. This info would have been helpful to know. Overall, it was a very enjoyable golfing experience.
Omni Amelia Island Resort - Oak Marsh
Played On 07/11/2014Great course on Amelia Island
The Oak Marsh course seems to be a typical Pete Dye design. Accurate drives and approach shots are a must. The course is beautiful though. It's a tough challenge of golf but well worth the experience. My only complaint was the pace of play, but with trouble and well placed hazards there is certainly reason for slower play.

I would highly recommend this course. The course was in great shape, and the pace of play was excellent. There is a good mix of difficulty throughout the course. Staff is very friendly.
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Leopard's Chase. We appreciate the feedback. The greens on any course in this region with bentgrass will always be much slower in the summertime, as the sensitive bentgrass needs as much leaf blade and as little stress as possible to help it survive the long hot summer. This type of grass will be at its best in cooler weather, basically fall through spring, when they offer a superior putting surface to any other type of grass, We apologize for the less than desired detail work you described. Finding a willing work force during the pandemic has proven a monumental task, but we are striving to do the best we can to offer good playing conditions despite the many challenges before most businesses during this difficult period. We were unable to aggressively treat invasive weeds during the 8 week long drought of late spring/early summer, but with the recent return of more normal rainfall patterns, we have treated the entire property and we are already seeing improvements in this regard. We hope you will visit us again soon and see our continued progress.
