Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 05/24/2020Well worth the extra windshield time
Another perfect morning at Mission Inn. Even though it was recently aerified, the course was in great shape. The experience is well worth the drive time to get there.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 05/02/2020Central Florida's Best
Been living in C.FLA for 15+ years and of all the places you can play, this is the best value for the money. With the stellar conditions, relatively inexpensive greens fees and elevation changes, it's definitely the gem of the area. Well worth the extra windshield time.
Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

To be fair, I booked a $50, 745a tee time on the busiest tourism week of the year on HHI. I shouldn't have had the greatest expectations.
Course overall was in good shape. Green fairways and greens. Tee boxes were a bit shaggy and the bunkers were mostly in rough (concrete like) shape, but a few were nice which made those shots that much more challenging if you were expecting a harder surface of the bunker.
Layout was a bit challenging having not played the course. Some blind water. My suggestion, pull out the fairway metal when in doubt. Overall a good layout.
Experience - well, it fell way short. No bev cart. Grill wasn't open when we got there, so you had zero F&B options. When we checked in at the turn, we entered through a door that allowed you to see into the kitchen. That ended the notion of food at this course.
All in all, if you're looking for value, this place has it - but pack your own cooler folks.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 05/19/2019Too many other better options...
I hadn't played this course in a while, so we thought we'd give it a try. Greens were horrid to put it mildly. I don't think I had one putt today that didn't hop like the Easter Bunny, We also went 18 holes on a Sunday morning without a single visit from the bev cart. We had lunch in the grill after our round.
Food wasn't bad, wasn't good, but wasn't terrible. Service was top drawer. Might have been the highlight of the round. All in all, I was disappointed.
Hello Scott, thank you for taking the time to review Timacuan Golf & Country Club and for the 3 stars. We're sorry to hear the course may not have been in the best shape on the day of your round, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the greens so may work on any necessary improvements. However, we're glad you had a friendly experience with our staff. Thank you for choosing to golf with us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Deer Island Country Club

Bring balls, because this track is a surefire test, however it's in great shape and you'll enjoy it.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 1/4/2013Well worth the trip
Any time you can play this course at the low GolfNow.com rates, it's more that worth the drive. The greens held and rolled true, the bunkers were all in great shape and the layout of this course is incredible. Plus, it's a course where you get elevation changes in Florida...which in and of itself is unusual. Couple that with the scenic views of the countryside and the Mission Inn...it's a great place to play.
Eagle Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/17/2012Great course, good shape, awful slow...
As always, this place was in good shape, the staff is very friendly, however the pace of play was very slow. Overall a great place to play and a great value.
The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes
Played On 11/5/2012This is how golf was meant to be played
A bit pricey, but it's the Ritz so it's to be expected. Course conditions weren't pristine, but they were really good. So, if you have the money to spend, get a caddie and enjoy 18 holes the way golf was meant to be played and enjoy your day.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 11/3/2012Nice track, but questionable conditions
Slow, rough and no bev cart! It took us over 5 hours to play, the rangers seemed to be in no big hurry to force groups to any sort of pace. In addition, the nice track had a very rough skin on it. I was constantly putting through rough and bald spots on greens. On top of it all, we saw the bev cart 1 time in 18 holes and she had run out of stock on the items we wanted. She did make an attempt to go restock, but we learned later that the person who had the key to the stock room was too busy to help her. My playing partner jokingly stated a lunch, "Let's not do that again real soon!" However, neither of us were joking when we agreed to not do it again real soon at this course.
Hawk's Landing Golf Club
Played On 8/19/2012Fun track
The layout of this course is well done and it's always in better than average shape. Out of all the resort courses in the immediate area around Disney, this is in the top 10. One thing - always load up when the beverage cart comes around because there is no half way house. Staff is super friendly and the full locker-towel make it an easy place to play especially if it's your travel day.
Grand Cypress - North/South
Played On 8/18/2012Very solid resort course
Beware the south 9, it's no joke. Great track, conditions were better than average. You really need to know the course to score well as course knowledge will really help you, especially on the south 9. Great facility, restaurant and pro shop.
Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Played On 8/4/2012Nothing memorable
Mystic Dunes was an ok place to play. I must admit, we were out there just after the greens got plugged, so I can't give you a full story. However, the course was just ok. Nothing spectacular. A lot of shot making holes that took the driver out of your hands off the tee. There are definitely much better places to play in Central Florida for the money.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run. We hope to see you again in the future.
