Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
Played On 03/03/2024Not sure about their tee interval but there were 2 groups piled up on every tee, it was late on a Sunday afternoon. Teed at 2pm and sunset at 6:30 - we did not finish.
No ranger or anyone trying to move people along.
Arboretum Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2022Nice course and good value
Played the course twice this weekend. For the price it is above average - interesting terrain, challenging layout, good greens with undulations, and they were rolling consistently around 9/10 or so. Many holes require strategic tee shots, less than driver from the blue tees, and there is lots of water. Pace of play was great and the staff is very friendly.
Rosedale Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/26/2021Excellent
Course is in great shape, well-conditioned and no issues. Bunkers are very nice, fairways and greens are lush, greens fast and difficult.
Seven Bridges Golf Club
Played On 07/15/2018Not bad but...
This course is nice, it’s the little things I find frustrating. First, it’s overpriced - so unless I get a good deal I generally pass. The staff, while generally friendly really pushes pace of play to the point of being annoying. We were on pace with the group ahead and still got a few reminders. The course is in good shape but again, for the money I’d fix the cart path potholes. Many greens had significant damage from something.
The layout is challenging, but there are many holes where driver is taken out of your hands due to an odd layout or trees/water and so a forced hybrid tee shot means a long approach is required. Finally holes 10-16 are a really strange tricked-out layout where there is water or danger both sides and a less than perfect tee shot or approach is heavily penalized. I really think all courses should have only one side per hole that you can’t miss on, not two. Emerging from those holes unscathed is rare.
Pheasant Run Resort
Played On 11/28/2014Not bad, but nothing to get excited about
I played this course with my son the day after Thanksgiving. It is an OK place to play in decent weather, but be warned that they have temporary greens in the fairway front of every hole location - understandable to protect the actual greens. I am not sure how long the temp greens will be in use, but I would guess until spring. I would call and ask to be sure.
Otherwise, this place is fine for a medium challenging course other times of the year.
The Course at Aberdeen
Played On 09/01/2014Nice, Challenging Course
We played on a weekend, and waited at the turn and on a few holes - but otherwise the pace was good. Nice course, with a sporty layout. There were a few blind shots and some elevation changes. The greens were in good shape - not slow and pretty true. Great course for the price.
West at White Pines Golf Course
Played On 07/11/2014Good basic course
Greens were not in great shape, but this course is very playable. Better weekdays since it gets pretty crowded on weekends.
Eaglewood Resort & Spa
Played On 8/28/2013Cheap quick round
This course is just OK - good for a low price and a quick round on a weekday. Haven't played on a weekend, I imagine it will be slower. Greens are in below average shape, slow and some are kind of beat up.
St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course
Played On 8/15/2013Nice course, good value
I've played here 2-3 times a year. This is a traditional layout, and it's not too tight. The course is always in good shape, the greens are a bit slow and uneven, the bunkers are well maintained. It is a great place with a friendly staff.
