Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends
Played On 09/28/2018Course Management Required
The Legend course requires course management on every hole to position ball on fairway to score well on well protected rolling greens. Long drives not required but ball placement for approach shot is key. The rough around some greens and off fairways is thick and deep. Better to take a penalty stroke than to hit out. Greens were rough in places and would have been smoother if rolled. Pace of play was very good considering all tee times were booked.
Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Grist/Wheel Course
Played On 09/14/2015Challenging Course for the Money
Played 18 holes that included the Wheel and the Grind in 4 hrs 30 minutes so pace of play was very good. A cart is required for the Grind as the distance between tees for holes 5 and 6, and 8 and 9 is huge with long trip back from 9 to clubhouse.
Pheasant Run Golf Club - Highlands
Played On 10/10/2014Short Course Requires Course Management
From white tees the Middle/ Highlands track requires precise fairway woods and middle irons to keep ball in play for a total playing yardage of 5,985 yds. Greens are small with undulations making putting challenging once you get there. Proper hole course management a must to shoot a low score. Course will keep you thinking.
Thanks for the feedback! It is a challenging layout, small greens and tight fairways.
