Forty-Niner Country Club
Played On 11/16/2020Good Course. SLOW
I like the layout of this course. Over the years you have done an excellent job of improvement of the course. BUT the pace of play has been getting slower. Other places I’m playing in Tucson are running 3:45 to at most an hour. To day was nearly 4:30 and there’s no ranger keeping the pace.
Bear Course at Breckenridge Golf Club
Played On 06/02/2020Oxymoron Round of Golf
The course has just reopened for the year. The day is beautiful, the temperature is perfection , the grass is green and the tall mountains are still frosted with snow. In this setting it doesn’t matter how you play. The round lasted 3 1/2 hours and if you have never played the course shame on you. It should be on everyone’s list.
Ventana Canyon - Canyon Course
Played On 04/11/2019Great Day of Golf
I enjoyed everything about the experience, except there was no one to help with the clubs at the end of the round. It’s a long walk up stairs to the cars and it’s even longer carrying a set of clubs. The course is fair with enough sets of tee boxes to take care of all levels of players. The greens were excellent as were all the aspects of the course.
The price compared other Tucson courses is higher.
Dell Urich at Randolph Golf Course
Played On 03/29/2018Great Muni
We had a 756 tee time and were paired with a friendly local that knew the course. Tweed off early and finished in 3:30 hours. Course maintains well and all the staff were friendly. This is an older course and can be difficult if you don’t play the right tees. Look at back nine before you tee off because it plays to a par 35 which gives extras length to the par fours. Definitely play next time you are in Tucso
MountainView Country Club
Played On 03/17/2015The course is scenic
I was impressed with the pace of play for such an active course. Played with a member who was very helpful. Excellent views. A long drive but worth it. There was no beverage cart nor a 19th hole. I will play again.
El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Canada Course
Played On 03/29/2014Will play again
This course was a good challenge of golf from the blue tees. Course was in good condition and the greens ran true, but you need to pay attention to if you are on the upside or downside of the mountain.
I plan to replay again the next time I'm in Tucson.
The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley
Played On 03/25/2014This course has great views
The course is kept in excellent shape and is a good fair test of golf. To be better attuned to the USGA's play it forward policy the could use a set of tees at 6000 yd. The views of the mountains is one of the best I've found in the Tucson/Green Valley area.
Torres Blancas Golf Club
Played On 03/21/2014Worst Course I've played in years
I wouldn't even recommend this course to my enemies. I've played 557 courses in the U S and I would rate this course at the bottom. The condition is horrible and it doesn't appear that they are doing anything to make it better. This area, unfortunately, has loss a few courses in the last few years; how this one survived is beyond my comprehension.
Sewailo Golf Club
Played On 03/15/2014New but coming
The course is a typical desert course, with lots of sand, but some good water hazards. For the money charged (I got a reduced rate) the staff was not quality you would normally get. The course itself is beautiful and as it continues to mature it will justify the price. The greens are great for the newness of the course.
Golf Club at Vistoso
Played On 03/05/2014You should make this course a must play
I was very impressed with the condition of the course, the challenge and the employees; especially for the money I paid. Also I was paired with a nice couple that played at an outstanding pace (3h 35m). I would highly recommend the course; but, watch out when you wander out into the desert.
Preserve Golf Course
Played On 02/14/2014wkd
We were impressed with all aspects, except for the course ranger. Even though we were moving at a four hour pace he continued to hover when we were try in play a shot. The course is a must play for average golfers and above. They have adopted the play it forward and have multiple combinations of tees for all playes.
Crooked Tree Golf Course
Played On 02/08/2014A good time and challenge
I have played this course 3 or 4 times on different visits to the city. I like the layout, not too tough but offers a fair challenge. I like the fact that they have the layout for various distances. I have been paired up a couple of times and have found it a very pleasant experience.
