This is the first time I’ve played this course, and I was attracted to it after reading many reviews which said that it drained well and you can usually drive carts onto the fairways, which many courses in central Florida don’t allow due to amount of rain recently. Highlands reserve has a really friendly staff group in the bar/snack area and the pro shop, which was well stocked.

The course is a blend of parkland lined with pine trees for the opening few holes and the remaining holes are more open more like an inland links layout.

The greens were in really good condition and were not too fast. Most bunkers were good but some were not raked at all - not a fault of the course or the staff but if other golfer being lazy....

The tee boxes were ok, a little uneven in places and the grass a long to what I’m usually use to in the UK, but all in all a great course and very fairly priced. I got this on the GolfNow Hot Deal and I was very impressed with the course, it’s layout and the mixture of holes. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and I will definitely return and recommend this course to others.

I got a hit deal from GolfNow and played this course for the second time. I’m from the UK and the last time I played this course was 2 years ago and it has greatly improved. The tee boxes are much better and more even and the greens are superb - really true, drain very well and fast. These greens are as good as any competition course in the UK. The staff in the pro shop were very chatty and helpful and I didn’t mind that the carts were limited to just the cart paths, but that’s perfectly reasonable given the amount of rainfall. Surely they have to protect the course and I’m amazed at some others comments...I would definitely recommend this course to others, and a great touch are the multiple water coolers around the course which are very much needed in this heat and humidity. Great track, great staff and s great price.

Whist staying on the Southern Dunes I decided to play another course in the area, and seeing Providence in Davenport, about a 20 minute drive I looked at their website and booked a round. Including club hire, it was about $40 all in, so fantastic value.

The hire clubs were nearly new Srixon clubs with a Cleveland wedge and putter (and made even better that the putter was the same one I use in the UK...). The buggy was more basic (no cooler or course map) but the course guide was perfect and my Garmin watch also worked perfectly for yardages.

The course was in pretty good condition for the time of the year, some holes were pretty wet given the recent storms and rainfall, but the greens, bunkers and pitching areas were all in vgc. One or two fairways were looking a little worn and the only area of the course that wasn't as good as the rest were the tee boxes but they were still ok. However this course was still very nice to look at and play.

Not the longest of courses but a real challenging course with lots of lakes, narrow fairways and well placed bunkers. I really enjoyed its layout and highly rate it. Plenty of dog legs and well placed greens, and I particularly enjoyed the par 3 holes. I will definitely return to play this course again. The staff in the pro shop and the ranger helping out with the buggy were really efficient and very friendly and helpful. Thanks fir a great first experience.

Although I have been staying in a villa in the Southern Dunes complex, this is the first time I have played here. The staff in the pro shop were helpful. Bob who was in charge of the darts was super helpful and the hire clubs were also excellent (new complete set of Cobra F6). The course buggies with course maps were really helpful given my first time here. The carts were also picking up the distance to the actual pin placements rather than just the usual front, middle and back yardages.

This is not the cheapest course in the area but it was definitely in the best condition of all courses I played in my 2 weeks in Florida.

I would definitely play this course again. Being in a villa looking over the 7th green I can assure you that the green keepers work very hard in not only maintaining the course, but every day they moved the pin placements.

Great course layout, superb condition for August, reasonably priced and very helpful staff ( who also loaned me some clubs to use on the range). Cannot fault it, would just live to play it more often !

First time I played St Neots. Great course and some really testing par 3 and par 5 holes in particular. Great clubhouse with really friendly staff. The course held up really well compared it had nearly 36 hours of rain. Would defo play here again.
