South Hampton usually has great fast greens. They are in bad shape currently. Patchy and slow. They are working on them, so there is sand patches in the troubled areas. Hopefully they get them back in shape soon. Can’t recommend spending $84 dollars to play there currently.

South Hampton is a good local golf course. The greens are in fantastic condition currently. Rolling fast and true. At times, South Hampton greens are very slow, however they are perfect right now.

Positives: friendly staff, good price, good pace of play, challenging layout (lots and lots of water)

Negatives: greens are very patchy, greens are slow, tee boxes are uneven and the rye grass is long

It’s unfortunate that Cimarrone can’t get the greens in better shape. Their neighboring courses, South Hampton and St Johns Golf & Country Club, have excellent greens. A course isn’t very playable with poor greens.

Loved the layout of the course, but the greens are too slow to justify playing again. Putts stop like Velcro.

It has been a few years since I played Julington Creek. I decided to give it another try, and was very disappointed. The greens are extremely slow. They are not cut very close, and they definitely don’t roll them. The fairways are dormant, and have dead grass clumps that interfere with your lie. If you would like to verify my review, just stop by and take a look at the practice green next to the clubhouse. It is abysmal.

With so many golf courses around, there is no reason to play here. St Johns and South Hampton are far superior courses for nearly the same price.

This course has improved more than any course in the area. The greens now roll true, and are very fast. The pace of play has improved, although at times can be very slow. Once they finish the range improvements, South Hampton will be one of the best courses around.

Love SJGCC. They consistently have the best greens in the area. The course is in excellent shape, and will challenge golfers.

I have played this course many times. The layout is fair and definitely prime for good scoring. My issue with South Hampton has been very slow greens. I can say that currently, the greens are in the best shape I have ever seen them. They are rolling fast and true. The improvement in the past few months is incredible.

Weekday rounds play at a good pace at South Hampton. However, Saturday rounds are very slow. We played a 5 hour round yesterday, but the great course conditions made up for the slow play. My recommendation is to attempt to get out on a weekday, or come prepared for a slow round.
