Duncan Meadows Golf and Country Club

An underfunded mom and pop show. Fine for beating a ball around. They need to lower the fees and attract lots of hackers for this type of course.
Cowichan Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/15/2015Nice course in good condition
The course is in great shape, walkable for sure. It's not the longest, but there are subtle challenges that raises the bar on several holes. Perfect course for mid handicappers. Single digits will rip it up. I had lots of fun.
Shadow Ridge Golf Club
Played On 04/28/2015Decent municipal course, try somewhere else
This course plays like a typical municipal type course. The greens were just sanded and we weren't told about it, no discount for conditions. Very disappointing. Good value for annual dues members, not so much for general public. For a few dollars more, play Black Mountain.
WildHorse Golf Club
Played On 02/05/2015Greens very rough
This used to be a nice course, but lack of money shows incredible decline. The employees are doing the best they can with what they have! Greens are terrible; bumpy, grass dead or missing. Fairways not bad, tee boxes rough and not level. Don't pay full price or you will be very disappointed!
Apache Creek Golf Club
Played On 01/31/2015Municipal style course
I played here after lots of rain the previous day, and the course was totally playable, which I did not expect. The bunkers were hard and the greens were pretty bumpy, but ok. Very typical of municipal course conditions. I thought $55 was a bit pricey, but that's the tourist price in late January. I wouldn't go out of my way to play here again, buy if you're in the general area it's good enough. The high point of the location is that it's not surrounded by houses!
