Ojai Valley Inn

Played On 06/21/2019Visiting from CA...lush and beautiful course!
Lots of elevation changes into the greens make club selection and distance estimates challenging for the first time player...tip: add 2 clubs when you think 1 is enough! Vistas can’t be beat. Will definitely play here again next time I’m in Asheville..
Camarillo Springs Golf Course
Played On 04/21/2018Hope the new ownership turns this place around
90 minutes to play the first two holes...fivesomes allowed with one person without his own clubs......all walking no less because they are out of carts....our cart was out of power after 11 holes...i quit after 14 @ 6 hrs...I won't be booking here again until and unless they turn it around as evidenced by a lot of positive reviews. Too bad because the course is a great layout and in a beautiful setting.
Ojai Valley Inn

Great course and staff, saved $20 using GolfNow. Traps were fully groomed and all consistent texture, nice. I had to wait on every hole, not unexpected as a single. Still my round was completed in 3:40, so can't complain too much.
Sterling Hills Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2014Speed up pace of play or lose business
Booked a 1:10 round and did not get off until 1:35, not good. Didn't really expect to get in 18 holes but for $27 through GolfNow I was ok with it. The pace of play is very slow, this is new as it used to be reasonable. I saw 5somes on the course. With scorecards being Xerox'd, $27 rounds, 5somes a cart shortage and slow pace of play, I wonder about the viability of Sterling Hills, too bad because I really like this course. I'll give it one more chance.
Buenaventura Golf Course
Played On 11/29/2014Great Round1
I had not played here is 10+ years. Was pleasantly reminded how nice the course is. We got out as a twosome an a Saturday of a holiday weekend at 8am. The round only took us 3 1/4 hrs! Probably not the norm but excellent nontheless. Greens were great, a bit too tricked up w/ many breaks but still fun and straight forward to read. The course is not long, you can keep the driver in the bag on most par 4's but can go for it too. The round took some thinking and choices as to risk/reward on shots, I like that mental aspect. Staff was great. No driving range or cart GPS, bummer. I'll be back!!
Moorpark Country Club - The Canyon Crest Golf Course
Played On 08/4/2013This is a fair canyon course.
Greens were recently aerated and sanded. The GolfNow listing did not mention this, it should have. I would have preferred to play somewhere else had I known in advance.
Surprising for a Sunday, was not crowded at all, no delays ever.
