Sad

This course used to be one the nicest places to play in south Florida but it has fallen into such disrepair it really is sad. You can see how unique and well designed the holes are but it is in just terrible condition from tee to green.
The staff was very nice and helpful but that only goes so far when you have sand patches , dead spots and St. Augustine grass on the greens and fairways.

Sssssslllllloooooowwww

Over 2 hours to play front 9 which is fine for a championship length course but for an executive course is ridiculous.

Interesting Design

This was my first time playing here and after completing the round I have to say this is a fairly unique course with some interesting holes. This course is almost like an executive course on steroids as there are a few drivable par 4s and a few more holes where it takes driver out of your hands if you are a fairly long player. Even from the tips this course isn’t very long, it seems perfectly suited for that older player who isn’t quite ready to transition to executive courses but isn’t enjoying championship length courses that much anymore. That’s not to say that this course is easy, if you are a long hitter you need to be pretty accurate to avoid very well placed hazards. If you aren’t that accurate with the driver then you need a solid long iron/hybrid game to get around this course. I normally use a rangefinder for yardages but I really could’ve used a gps system that had overhead pictures of the holes and where all the hazards were. It was a very enjoyable round though, course was in good shape, greens were fairly hard, fast and a little baked but they rolled very well and true. Staff was friendly as well and I would play here again. $48 on Golfnow was a great rate as well.

Amazing Experience

I want to preface this review by saying I played a fantastic round of golf here so I will try and keep this review as subjective as possible. This was an amazing experience as I’ve never played a links style course, definitely not your typical Vegas desert course. My wife came with me as a rider and they only charged $11 which I thought was very reasonable considering the green fee. Unlimited range balls included with your fee which was nice and when I checked in the starter said if I kept my warmup relatively short he’d be able to send me out ahead of a threesome that was supposed to head out before me, so that was nice awareness by him.
Every inch of fairway on this course could’ve easily doubled as a putting green. The fairways were hard, fast and every lie on them was tight. I drove the ball extremely well and those fairways easily added 20-30 yards of roll to my tee shots. That being said, I can imagine if I hadn’t been so good off the tee it could’ve been a long day. Although the fairways were fairly generous, the fescue lining them was pretty penal which is how links courses are designed. There was a twosome in front of me that spent a good amount of time trying to find their balls in there with little to no success. This is a replica course of famous holes in The Open rota so each tee box marker indicates what hole it replicates and some facts about The Open Championship so I would say take a minute to read about each hole, it’s a cool feature. Big undulating greens and pot bunkers (some in the middle of the fairways) are hallmarks of this course. It was in excellent condition and I can’t say enough about my experience here. Highly recommended although again I say if I hadn’t played so well (77 from Gold Tees 6600 yards) this review might’ve been a little different lol.

Nice Course

This is a semi private course located inside a 55+ year old retirement community and it plays that way as well. This course, at least for me, played easier from the back Tees versus playing further up. Like a lot of Vegas courses they have forced carries off the tee to save on water,
maintenance etc. but provide you with wide landing areas and sometimes the employ that on the second shot as well. If you hit your driver 240+ and you play the White tees you’ll probably end up in the hazard. That’s why playing back a set of tees makes it easier, it puts the driver back in your hands and you can take advantage of the nice landing areas. Course was very well manicured, unlimited range balls included as well with your greens fee so that was nice. This was a very pretty and scenic course with lots of Mountain Views, a little pricey but it was an enjoyable round. Staff was very friendly from the bag drop off to the starter and everyone in between. Recommended.

Decent

Played on Saturday morning and was paired with 3 locals who were great guys. I paid $99 and they paid the resident rate of $39. Golf in Vegas can be pricey as a visitor so I thought this was a good value because lunch and a beverage was included. Course was in decent shape and the other reviews are true, for some reason people don’t repair pitch marks here. I don’t get it, I view a pitch mark as a badge of honor for hitting a green on a likely well struck shot. Regardless, this course was pretty tight, I’ve never seen so many groups from so many directions in other fairways. On the plus side since there isn’t much between the holes your stray shot will most likely have a decent lie in another fairway lol. Not too much elevation here or forced desert carries like some Vegas courses have but still not bad when you throw in lunch which was great.
Staff was friendly, showed up an hour before my tee time to hit some balls but range was closed, starter was nice enough to let me join that threesome otherwise would’ve been stuck behind 3 foursomes that we’re getting ready to go out and would’ve never met the Gus I played with. Overall 3.5 star rating from me.

Very Nice

This course is brand new (at the time of play) so obviously it was in great condition. Very lush and green and tees, fairways, greens all in excellent condition. 10 par 3s and 8 par 4s that are driveable (250-280yards) but don’t think that it will be an easy birdie as it gets very narrow near the greens.
Well designed and nice layout, staff was very friendly too. Recommended.

Bad Staff/Experience

Course was nice and good value but don’t you dare bring a cooler to this course or it will be rudely confiscated and held in the cart barn like a prisoner until after your round.
Ranger said that no coolers were allowed, which is fine but the way we were treated about it was awful. Ranger said that the cart girl was out on the course and we could buy from her, also fine, except for the fact that she didn’t come by until we were on the 14th hole and then conveniently came by again as we were driving off the 18th hole. Not to mention that the course was not overly busy either. Ridiculous, this level of service is why courses are closing and struggling to stay open. Won’t be going back.

Fun

A really fun course at a great price as well. Not your typical executive course as it affords you to hit driver on a number of holes especially from back tees. Good pace of play and very friendly staff.

Sneaky

If you think that you are just going to stroll out to this course and just dominate it because it’s an executive layout you are in for a hard dose of reality. Make no mistake, just because this is a short course it is extremely challenging. In addition to all the water hazards, many of the holes are very tight but the biggest challenge are the very small, very sloped, and very fast greens. Your short game better be in good shape or you can expect to be in for a long day.

Rough

Normally this course is in pretty fair condition, but it seems lately they have been neglecting the Palms course and only doing maintenance on the (more expensive) Pines course. The rough (mostly weeds) was way overgrown, if your ball wasn’t in the fairway it was gone. That is not an overstatement, the rough on this course would make the US Open rough look like AstroTurf. At least a foot in length minimum and often times higher and it was on every hole. The only good thing about this round was that the course was empty and we didn’t encounter another group until the 14th hole. Thank god for that because if the course was busy I’m sure it would’ve been a 5+ hour round with people searching for balls. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, greens were inconsistent, some good, some bad. Not a good experience though.

Nice Course

This is a nice little Course, a little short, but with enough hazards to make it challenging. Fairways, tee boxes and greens were in decent condition, and the greens were sneaky fast. Starter got us out ahead of our tee time since we were only a threesome and we were thankful for that because there was a wave of "experienced" foursomes about to tee off. We ended up playing entire round in just over 3 hours but had we been behind those players it would've surely been a 5 hour round. Overall a good experience. Recommended.

Great shape

This is a nice course and is a good test all around for your game from any set of tees. Wide Fairways and big greens were in very good shape. Surprisingly for this time of year in south Florida the rate was very good and as a twosome we played early and encountered no traffic and finished in under 3 hours. Friendly staff and a very good experience overall. Recommended.

Ok

This course is a new addition to the Golfnow reservation system so it's going to have some issues to be sure. There are a lot of local players here who just show up and go and of course our tee time was hijacked by one of those groups. The starter even told that group not to tee off but they did anyways. Luckily they played fast so pace of play wasn't an issue and the price was great for this time of year.
Overall the course has a few interesting holes and the layout is good, the fairways are wide which is good because the rough (actually way overgrown weeds) is extremely penal. If you're not in the fairway there is a good chance that ball is lost. Tee boxes and Greens were in ok shape as were the bunkers. Staff was friendly and there is a great sports bar, Galuppis, for post round food and drinks.

A real gem, a real test.

A great course and a great challenge. Don't let the fact that this is an executive course fool you into thinking that you're just going to go out there and par a bunch of these holes because they are short. This is a great place to sharpen your wedge and short game, the greens are small and most of them have a fair amount of slope as well. In addition, not only are most of the holes are landing areas pretty narrow, but there is water in play on 12 of the 18 holes. That being said I really enjoyed this course, from the start the staff was extremely friendly and the course was in excellent condition from tee to green, in addition to being beautiful there was a lot of wildlife around despite the number of homes there. While there may be only 1 or 2 holes where you can use your driver this place is a true executive course. Not just a short course, but a short and very challenging course, the way executive courses were meant to be designed. 5 stars all the way around. I will be back.

Interesting course

This was an overall interesting experience which I guess explains some of my fluctuating star ratings. The course layout is very unique and truly changes based on which tees you choose to play. Playing from the white tees will often times take driver out of your hands and require some thinking and placement off the tee. The blue tees will require some shotmaking skills to be sure as a lot of the holes have sharp doglegs. This course will make you think which I really enjoyed. The course was in decent condition and the fairway lies were very tight and dry (but still green) which I prefer although the rest of my foursome struggled a bit with that. Greens and tee boxes were in decent shape as well. I did not know they had a "no personal cooler" policy and when we arrived we were scolded by the staff who let it slide since it was our first time out and we were also scolded, twice, by the cart girl. I understand the course relies on making money beyond tee times but they should also realize money is tight and paying $3-$5 for a soda or beer is a little ridiculous too. That being said it was a good value at $32 which was $13 less than booking directly through the course so thank you Golfnow!

Great Value

This is a great place to work on your iron play and short game. Fairways and greens were in good shape, a few tee boxes could use some TLC, but otherwise fine. Overall this is a good place to get a quick (short) 18 in and I've never had an issue with pace of play.

Overall Not Bad

Overall not a bad little course especially for the price. My tee time was at 7am on Sunday and I was able to play 18 holes in 90 minutes while playing 2 balls a hole. I was testing out 2 sets of irons and the course served it's purpose well. Maybe a couple opportunities to hit driver but I still hit irons off the tee.
Staff was very friendly. I can't speak for pace of play since I was first out and there was no traffic at all but I can't imagine it would be too bad with an executive layout. Tee boxes and greens were maybe not in the best shape but for only $16.95 it was fair. Quick, cheap and a decent place to work on your iron game. Good experience.

Good track

Overall not a bad course. I've played here many times but this is my first opportunity to review this course. Fairways and greens were in good shape a few tee boxes could've used some work but no big deal. Teed off at 7:15am as a twosome, caught a foursome at the 3rd hole who let us play through and were finished at 10:15am. Classic florida course in terms of layout with good scoring opportunity throughout. Fairways are fair but ball placement off the tee is definitely required here, wider and more generous fairways can be found on Mighty Oaks and Palms Course on this property. Staff is very friendly and overall a good experience. Paid only $52 via golfnow where listed price on Palm Aire website was $79 plus tax so great savings, thanks golfnow!
