Coachwood Golf & Country Club

Played On 11/07/2019Be considerate of your clients
Arrived at Executive clubhouse to find it closed at 10:45 am. Had to drive back to main clubhouse to check in and then drive a cart up to course. Sprinkler system was on. I was told it would stop at 11 am our tee time. Not only did it not stop additional sprinklers came on and soaked us and our cart and clubs even though maintenance saw us waiting to play.
Once we finally dried off a bit and started the course was in terrible shape (we have golfed this course each winter for the last 9 years).worse shape ever. During the remainder of our round we had to avoid sprinklers, even though maintenance saw us playing the holes. Since there did not seem go be anyone else on the course, not sure why they could not start sprinklers after we played a hole. It will be a long time before we go back to a once favourite course. Tried to contact course people, can not connect to website.
Stoneybrook East Golf Course
Played On 11/26/2018Good but needs eork
Course is fair to average as far as condition. Some treboxed in bad shape. The greens were averaged it home spots needing work
Lsyoutid good and faithful. Staff generally good. More work on course is needed
course was busy, pairing was inappropriate
When we arrived there were no carts but they got us one for our tee time. We were paired with two people who seemed intent on being coach and student, not a great match. Pairing is ok but sometimes some discretion should be used. Course was great, staff very good.
White Heron Golf Club
Played On 12/23/2014Straight is important
This course requires excellent placement of shots on 80% of the holes. The water can be in play on almost every hole but doesn't need to be in play if you hit the ball relatively straight.
Green Valley Country Club
Played On 03/08/2014Greens are great, Fairways need alot of work.
We have played this course before. The greens are a good challenge and in great shape. The tee boxes are not level, are not in good condition. The fairways have not improved over the last four years. There use to be some good fairways but not anymore, hard to find a good patch of grass to hit from. If the cost stayed below $30 per person it would worth the round maybe but any higher and it is not a good deal, which is why we have only played it once this year.
South Course at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club
Played On 12/05/2013A good challenge, not threatening but challenging
We like this course but have noticed that some work needs to be done on the fairways, they are showing their usage. Some tee boxes have been reseeded but still need some time. Overall, for the dollar it is a good value.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 12/22/2012This is a good course to practice the short game, challenging but fun.
The course is good to play and can be played in about 3 plus hours if not busy. It has good scenery making the course fun to play. The only problem with this course is the fact that they don't always open the pro shop at the Ridge Course which means after driving all the way up to the course you find you have to return to the King's Clubhouse and then drive a cart up to the course. If they are not going to have the pro shop open then a sign posted down below will save about 25 minutes of preparation time. It is very frustrating otherwise.
