Construction everywhere and very slow pace with no marshall

This might have been a good course a long time ago but they last two times I’ve played here it has been awful. There was construction going on all over the course. Trenches dug all over the course, piles of dirt and mud in the middle of fairways and all along the cart paths. Several times we had to hit over tractors parked all over the course or walk through mud to pick up our balls and move them to grass since there were trenches everywhere. Not only was the course under construction with below average fairway conditions they don’t provide a club cleaning device on the cart, ie no water, scrubbing tool or towels. There’s also not on board GPS which is pretty standard for golf courses with similar green fees. There’s also not a Marshall that’s helping help with pace of play. We were constantly having to wait for group in front of us who were spending way too much time looking for balls. We even passed them on back nine and caught up to next group at next hole and encountered same problem. Took little over 5 hours to play which is really slow. The staff in clubhouse and bar were nice but not enough to overcome all the problems. I live about 8 min from this course and it’s not at all worth the short drive.

Thank you for taking the time to review the course. However, let us first start by apologizing for your recent experience as this is not the standard we strive for at SilverHorn Golf Club. Due to sewer pipes collapsing under our golf course last December, there have been ongoing repairs taking place at the course. Fortunately, this project was completed a few days ago and our team is in the process of having the course restored in areas that were destructed from the repairs. We have assured that this work does not affect play for our golfers, but we appreciate your patience & understanding during this time. All of your feedback has been escalated to our team, but we would be happy to address these concerns with you further. At your convenience, we encourage you to reach out to Bryan Ledesma, General Manager, at bledesma@silverhorngolfclub.com. We hope you’ll consider giving us another try in the near future.
