As a senior golfer, the course offers everything I want. Holes are not excessively long (like many Cal courses), but you must place your way around this beautifully laid out course. Good drives lead to challenging 2nd shots to the trickiest greens I've ever seen. (Even tougher than Torrey Pines). (Whoever laid out these greens is a masochist!) Overall, our family Scramble had a really enjoyable round! The group ahead moved out, so no waiting. The Pro shop guy was pleasant and obliging, and starter Aussie was his usual bright self! We do miss the restaurant, however. We'll be back!

Nice, nice layout! Not keen on the first couple of holes, but after that.... lots of elevation changes, doglegs and tricky greens make up for the lack of length. A really nice course for seniors!

9:45a.m tee time, on time. We were paired with a couple of really nice guys, and the round went really well. I couldn't hit a second shot all day, but otherwise very enjoyable! The course has been well looked after (well done!) and the greens were very, very fast with some amazing breaks. From the pro shop guy to the starter, it was very well organized.. The course can eat your lunch if you get off line... not very long, but the elevated greens and elevation changes make you doubt your club selections! Overall, well worth the green fees! Again, the course is in very good condition, well maintained! We'll be back!

From the pro shop lady to the cart guy to the course .... we enjoyed every minute! Nice conditions, well watered (which is rare these days) and after the 'local' group ahead waved us through (also rare these days) we finished a very enjoyable round well under 4 hours! The course has variety to spare and although it's not a long layout, thinking your way around is paramount, with tee shot club selection and position a must. We'll be back! Loved it!

Great layout, nice conditions, reasonable price....BUT... the slowest round of golf ever! In excess of 6 HOURS! Drunken group ahead who played a boombox and spent most of their time bullsh--ting, yelling and wasting time! The group ahead were 4 "ladies" 3 of whom had no business trying to play a course of this difficulty. It was painfully obvious that none of them had any interest in moving along. The absence of any marshals on the course greatly added to the unacceptable pace of play. This is the SECOND time we've taken forever to finish at this course! Never again! Pity! It's a nice course.

Nice layout. Short with short iron 2nd shots from tight lies and tricky greens. The fairways are the only slight negative here .... need water. The greens are really first class.... grainy, undulating and fast! The short holes demand fairway hits and the 2nd shots to demanding greens are the real challenge. Not being a "long hitter", I enjoyed being able to play this course! The pro-shop guy was helpful and pleasant, and the starter guys were on the ball! A very nice experience! Try it!

Pleasant counter-folk, very good course condition (2 weeks after aeriating though) and pretty good pace-of-play! We'll definitely be back, during week days.

Started off with a frost delay... no problem. Paired us up with a great guy from KC! Moved along really well, for a while then slowed right down. Jumped ahead of the "funeral party" ahead, but got jammed up on 11 behind a bunch of wild 'golfers' (?) who lost balls, threw tantrums and clubs, so we went back to the Pro-shop, and we were sent out to the North front nine... wide open, lovely weather and had a wonderful time! Thanks a bunch to the Pro-shop guys who saved our day! Great course! Great restaurant.... we'll be back!

Cold, cold day. Asian groups ahead joined up, played as a 7 ball! Could have used a marshall! They destroyed the bunkers, left divots and pitch mark's, etc. We had to drive on by, and skip a hole. Zero course ethics! We loved the course, and staff but with this kind of clientele, we'll play elsewhere in future.

From the pro-shop folks, Jim and Jay, to the starter Mark, the welcome and help couldn't have been better! We got 're-scheduled' owing to a men's Club shotgun (I hear this happens often) and our fees got mixed up by an assistant, but Jay stepped up and fixed everything! We got paired with another GolfNow twosome, who were a delight to play with! The front nine "Creek" course greens had been recently ariated, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment! We loved the course and rate of play, and had a really good round! Congrats' to the course staff! We'll definitely see you again.

We booked 6:54a.m, but the starter (Mike... great guy) put us out earlier to avoid a tournament group. The course was in really good shape, and we loved the layout which features individual holes (i.e no adjacent fairways), and plenty of variations on the holes. The course was reasonably teed, with plenty of choices for differing age groups. Player has included sloping fairway 'edges', which bring back wayward tee shots into play. (Few, if any "miss-the-fairway-lose-your-ball" conditions). My wife and I "scrambled" our way around, and finished in 3hrs, 10 minutes, which allowed us to be finished before 10 a.m, avoiding the desert heat! The pro-shop staff were very polite and helpful, the 'bag-boys' very helpful, and Mike, the starter was really good. We'll come back here again, and heartily recommend this course! A great morning's golf!

Except for the pro-shop guy (this guy could have been a temp?) who apparently doesn't like his job, we enjoyed the course. Because of the cost, the course was almost empty, and we moved along at our own pace. The course was in fair shape and the greens well kept. A breeze made some of the holes interesting. The breakfast room, food and service were really nice and I'd recommend the course, if the prices were more in line with the area and course condition.

The over seeding in October failed miserably, leaving a great layout in poor condition. It looks like they didn't water the new grass at all, and we were left with tight, brown dormant Bermuda grass everywhere. The greens also looked like they were almost abandoned, and ready to give in! Sand traps are hard-packed. We've played this course often, and I've never seen such a deterioration. I hope it get's fixed next year!

The Champions course was undergoing maintenance, so they put us out on the Legends. Great service! We played behind a Club Skins Game tournament, and we just flew around! The course was really nice, with all the challenges we needed.... elevation changes, tricky greens, forced carries... the lot! The clubhouse staff and starter were really outstanding, and the breakfast first class! A first class, enjoyable round! We will come back!

We were pleasantly surprised at the pace of play and course conditions, except for the hundreds of un-repaired pitch marks on the greens, and many un-fixed bunker footprints. I understand it's a "recreation/vacation-type" layout, but the course super MUST monitor the hackers' treatment of the holes. Surprise, surprise... we were even allowed to "play thru' by a slow group ahead (couldn't be Californians), and we finished in less than 4 hours! A very enjoyable round, a 'friendly" course with few challenges, nice weather, very friendly staff... what more could you ask for? Loved it!

Started off with a very reasonably priced and excellent breakfast! The weather was perfect and the course somewhat varied, with tricky greens. Some nice forced carries, and the course was not too long from the whites. We played a "family scramble" and did well and had fun. We'd definitely pay again!

First time at the course, and we hit a tremendous lightning storm right overhead. However, between dodging downpours, etc, we enjoyed the course and had fun. The layout wasn't too challenging, and it definitely needs some TLC, but overall it was worth the money!

First time for us... enjoyed the round! The fairways were tight, Bermuda (not my favorite surface)and the greens were pretty good. Plenty of variety in the course, with some good challenges if we got "offline". The pro shop staff and cart/club guys were excellent! Pace of play could have been better if a marshal had been around and the folks ahead had been "aware" of other folks on the course.... but considering they were most probably vacationers, and in no particular hurry to get back to losing money in the Casinos, 41/2 hours wasn't too bad. Beautiful Clubhouse, but the "breakfast" food was below standard and expensive. Overall, pretty enjoyable!

First time here, and our cart GPS died! Playing this course "blind" was very challenging! The condition was better than I was led to believe it would be... just coming out of Winter conditions, and quite acceptable. Every hole was a series of "guesses'... what to hit off the tee...where to hit it, how much does the elevation changes affect club selection, etc ... and the greens were typical Nicklaus designs... very shallow front-to-back, with the length right-to-left! Wicked slopes and breaks. Drop-offs on two sides (into lost ball conditions). Bottom line? This is absolutely no course for beginners, as advertized. But we picked our way around, lost a few balls, found a few, and had a wonderful time! We'll play it a LOT different (and smarter) next time! Loved it!!

What a shame!! The course layout and variety of holes deserves much better than the tight/bare lies all over the 18 holes. The bunkers were almost all unraked, and the greens were loaded with unfixed pitchmarks! With a better course superintendent, marshal and greens staff, this course could be a winner! Additionally, because of the influx of "Snowbirds" at this time of the year, the costs to play go out of sight! Bottom line ... the course conditions do nowhere near match the costs to play. I recommend staying away from this 'gem' until the "owners" fix and maintain the course.
