Pace of play has become an issue just about everywhere, but at the Grizzly it has reached ridiculous. A 4-man group and a 3-woman group had play backed up to the point where 3 other groups were backed up on tees waiting on them, I left after only playing nine of my paid-for 18

Love the course, but I'm confused by the allowing of a shotgun start for a large group while players with tee times are still on the course trying to finish up their rounds, this was very confusing to us...never had that happen anywhere else....ever.

I used to play here years ago, and it was at least in pretty good condition. I then played it a couple years ago, and had to write a scathing review, it had gone completely to pot. After reading some recent more positive reviews, I decided to go walk nine and see if it had been improved. I did have photos of some of the tee boxes, bunkers and greens, but lost them from my iPad. Don't waste your time and money on this one, stay far, far way.

I’ve probably harped on this before, but once again……..the course is generally in good shape, and I can see they are making improvements….but they really need to address the condition of the tee boxes. It looked as if they hadn’t moved the markers in weeks, making it bare and dry, so much so that I actually broke some tees trying to get them in the ground. Currently, they need to issue a hammer at the start of the round.

I realize we played in the season, so some wear and tear was to be expected, but I’ve seen this course in much better condition. Tee markers looked as if they hadn’t been move in weeks, fairways were scalped, and greens were just ridiculous. When greens are this sloped, you need to slow them down a bit, they were just impossible to putt, and all groups we encountered said the same thing. As far as trying to get an approach shot to the green to stop, forget it. Anything hitting the green went right off the back into trouble. Did not make for happy golfers

General condition of Majestic has declined recently, used to be one of my favorite courses to play in the area, but not so much any more. You should be issued a hammer to use in placing your tees in the ground on the tee boxed, it's really that hard. Several bunkers looked as if they hadn't had any attention in years, more weeds than sand. Sand bottles on carts have no sand in them to put in divots, so fairways are pock marked. Course needs some TLC..big time.

I realize it’s still early Spring, but I’ve seen the course in much better condition in the past. There’s a lot of places in fairways that need attention, not horrible mind you, but still need some work to bring it back to what I’ve seen in the past. Love the staff, they are super, but someone needs to monitor groups on the course, played behind a threesome playing blue tees, when they had no business doing so, long, long waits for them on several holes while they tried to find their tee shots, which very seldom (never) found the fairway, very frustrating.

I’ve played here several times over the years while visiting Florida, and found the course to be in worse condition every time, and today will be my last time playing here. These folks have a lot of large gonads to charge anything at all to play here, they should be paying the players to come here instead. Fairways are dirt/sand/hardpan interspersed with weeds. The rough is a joke, nothing more that bare, lumpy ground with scattered clumps of some sort of vegetation indigenous to lousy golf courses. The bunkers haven’t had any attention, apparently, in quite some time, they are full of: grass (live), and dead, twigs, branches, leaves and consist mainly of a thin layer of loose sand covering concrete.
The greens, while appearing nice, are not. They are the hardest greens I’ve seen anywhere, amounting to emulating tilted pool tables. After hitting a very high shot to a par 3 green, I finally found a dime sized dimple that, by a stretch, could be called a ball mark. I actually bent the prongs on my ball mark repair tool trying to fix the “mark”’
Any reviews that praise the condition of this course are either A. paid plants, or B. folks who have never seen an actual golf course.

To call the landing areas “fairways” is a complete stretch. Grass is burned out if it exists at all, course is mainly brown “grass” and bare spots interspersed with weeds. They claim to be in the process of improving, but I see no evidence of this. Won’t be back here, complete waste of time and money. Tee markers don’t appear to have been moved in the last month, tee boxes are scuffed up sand pits. Course needs new management and a re-do, but time. Don’t waste your money.

I love the course, love to play it. But, they seem to raise their prices on a daily basis, making it hard for me to choose this over courses in the area that are just as nice but a lot less expensive to play. Seems pandemic supply and demand has taken over.

I have played this course over the course of several years, and it seems that the overall condition has declined over that time. Tee boxes were almost impossible to even get a tee in the ground. “Bunkers” are a complete joke, just hard sand lined, grass-filled pits with rakes thrown in for comedic effect. Partner and I had to switch carts three times to get one that would reliably start. Only saving grace for the course is the layout, which I think is really different than any other course around.

This has become my favorite course in the area after going past it many times in the past on bike rides. I love the rolling terrain coupled with the course layout. Great place to relax.

To call the roundish flat areas “greens” is a major stretch of the imagination. It’s pretty much impossible to make any iron shot stay on the green, and putting is a joke. Hint: hit your approach shot short on purpose and putt up onto the green, the only way you can play it. Fairways aren’t much better, but at least the ball rolls forever. Another hint: hit low screamers and watch them roll.

Just got back from trying out Deer Track again, which supposedly they greatly improved recently. NOT !!!!
Poorest excuse for a golf course in the region, bar none. Fairways are partially bald in many places, with clover interspersed among the theoretical Zoysia grass. Rough is simply mud with random clumps of crabgrass to break up the monotony and make it generally unplayable, and if it has rained in recent memory, the course is one big swamp, does not drain, period. The only saving grace is that they have Yuengling in the club house, gave them one star just because of that.
Bunkers are weed infested and unraked, Bring some Roundup or a Weedeater with you when you play.
$14 for nine hole walking is a joke, they should pay people for playing there and wasting their time.

First time to play this course, won't go back, First time I've ever seen a "ranger" contribute to slow play by talking with player that should have teed off minutes beforehand, then telling goups behind that "it's slow all over"
I left after 14 holes of this garbage and went for a cold beer and a cheeseburge, NOT at this course.
