Manatee County Golf Course

I have played this course in past years and now I will not go back. The fairways are non existent and the greens had weeds growing in them making it difficult to putt over.
I wish I had taken photos for this review.
Manatee County Golf Course

Our tee time was for 2:21, we did not go off until 3 PM. Pace of play was horrible, they need to move people along at this course.
This is not the first time we have encountered slow play but it is the first time we left after only 8 holes as it was very clear we would not be anywhere near finished before dark.
Very disappointed. We play this course every year while wintering in Florida.
Buffalo Creek Golf Course
Played On 02/01/2022Nice course
We were only a twosome and the pace of play on the Front nine was very good. However when we got onto the back nine, we were waiting on every single shot. I don’t know if they started putting people out on the back which held up the course or what the story was but it was pretty slow.

I love the beauty of this course. We played with The Safari Group and even though there were 2 groups on each tee box we moved along. This is a very challenging course. Jim McDonald, as always, was very welcoming and friendly and the weather was perfect. A great day all a round.
Glad to give you all a bit of a challenge! Thank you for playing. Please come back with The Safari Group again!!
The Golf Club at Wyndhurst Manor & Club
Played On 05/25/2016Beautiful setting
We played this course with The Safari group and with 140 players, the pace of play was good for the number of players. Cranwell is a very well maintained course with beautiful views. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Tekoa Country Club

The Safari Club opened it's season playing Tekoa Country Club today. This course is in very nice condition and the pro EJ is always very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend you play this course if you are ever in the area looking for an affordable and wonderful course, you won't be disappointed.

We played this course as part of our Safari Club outing on a very cool, sunny day. We were delayed due to frost but the wait was well worth it once we got going. The course was in good shape, and was challenging for the first time playing it. I'll be looking forward to playing this course again next year.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us Feedback on your experience. We are sorry we didn’t meet your expectations during your visit. As it relates to turf conditions in “winter” months of January & February, the off color yellow brown conditions are related to multiple days of heavy frost we experienced in late January. During Winter, turf color does not rush back to green and lush due to night time temps staying below 60 degrees for most of Jan / Feb / and often into March. The Greens can take on a purple, yellow, or brown hue during cold snaps and we treat them weekly with liquid fertilizer to bring them back to a greener tint. The dry winter conditions (with very limited rainfall) do create firm and fast conditions and tighter fairways. Overall, in the marketplace we have priced ourselves accordingly and offer a very good value during the high demand months. Our Starters and Rangers do their best to keep players on pace but in certain circumstances players can get unruly and somewhat vulgar at times. Finally, this summer we plan to renovate the entire golf course, new greens, new turfgrass, rebuilt bunkers, and new laser-leveled tee boxes with new turfgrass. In the Fall, we will reopen and have an entirely new fresh look. Thank you for your time and we hope you will consider visiting again.
