Has so much potential

The course was a little chewed up and dry but greens were in excellent condition. Staff was a little gruff, we just didn't get a friendly vibe from them. We asked about food when we checked in (7:30am) and was told by pro shop that no food was available, just the coffee in the shop.

Got out on the course, it's a gettable, but challenging track (i'm an 18 handicap, so YMMV).

The amenities on the course were SPARSE. For a high-desert course, there was only one water cooler on the entire course. Saw the cart girl twice (once each 9), which is when we learned that, indeed there was a snack bar with food, drinks, etc.

Got stuck behind a 3-some that wouldn't let our 4-some through, so we waited a lot, but still got around in 4.5 hours.

I will say, we had a group of members behind us that were some of the nicest guys we've met. Never pressed us, never hit in to us and had a good chat while waiting for our shots.

There were marshal's on the course, but as far as we could tell they never pressed the group to speed up, probably because they weren't that far behind schedule.

The clubhouse is beautiful, the course is a little chewed up, but OK. If they can fix the staff friendliness and the fairways, this would be a great excursion. Overall an OK experience, but probably wouldn't play it again.

Good track

Course was in relatively good condition. The greens were a little bumpy and it looked like a different kind of grass was trying to come in. Could just be transition from winter to summer grass. Carts were a little janky but got us around. Fun, but challenging round for an 18 handicap.

Great Course

We had two foursomes (back to back). Even for a holiday weekend, we never had to wait, groups moved fast and the course was in near perfect condition. Greens were wicked fast, but playable and the fairways were some of the best I have seen this year (I would compare them to the TPC courses in San Antonio, maybe better).

I have played this course a few times and it is in the best condition I have seen it. This is a tough, but playable track (I'm a 19 handicap) and I would recommend to anyone.
