The course layout is great but it needs a lot of updates (about 1/2 the bunkers need sand, greens need help (bare spots), and the cart path needs to be ripped up and replaced. Most of the tee boxes and fairways in good but not great condition.
This could be an amazing course if someone invested in the upkeep

Great course / very good shape / nice winter rye coverage and four very pretty memorable holes (#7, #16, #17 and #18)
Only complaint was slow greens

Bay Forest Golf Course

Great round of golf - but was shocked that they tried to insist that the golfers should pair up in the carts. Especially when Houston is at its most severe stage and the club house has mandatory mask policy.
I guess they figure once you get to the first tee box all the precautionary stuff should go by the way side.
No one accepted the ask to pair up in the carts which led to a discussion of them being disappointed.
Recommend calling ahead to ask what the policy is with regard to single carts while Covid-19 is attacking Houston

Greens always run fast and always in great shape. They keep loosing surrounding trees. Tee boxes is ok shape along with fairways

The course is a bit wet on 3 holes (cart path only). But greens, fairways and tee boxes are in great shape.
The greens have historically been faster / but still in great condition
