Course needs a lot of work.

For the price of golf, cheapest around. But the low cost comes with a price.

The corse is a lovely layout. Really enjoyed how the old oak trees and water came into play. Bunkers were placed at the right spots and the fairways were more than wide enough. The greens were small and challenging.

Pace of play depended on if you got out early.

Now for the issues. The course will need a lot of money and time to get it back to where it needs to be. The tee, fairways, rough, and greens were not mowed or manicured to even a nice public course conditions. It looked like a pasture. Numerous fairways were sandy and had large bare spots. While other were uncut. I would have to spend several minutes looking for my ball in the middle of the fairway and nearly had to walk on it to find it. Bunkers were not raked and had weeds growing in them. Greens were long and not cut. Very slow.

I am sure this course will be maintained better in the future. It will be a diamond in the rough when it gets back to just good shape. For the price that I paid with cart, okay value. Needs to be more in the $15 dollar range. If you want nicely mowed and maintained course, go some where else. In a year or so come back and play Rock Ridge Springs.
