Rowallan Castle Golf Club
Played On 04/07/2023not a golf course, a bog
Standing water everywhere, most shots plugging, areas of rough where the water is coming over your shoes, splattered with mud on several shots including in your eyes, trousers ruined, apart from that avoid this course at all costs. All this on a beautiful spring day. Can't imagine what it would be like in the winter or in the rain.
Irvine Golf Club
Played On 10/26/2018Superb Golf Course
On a stretch of coastline that boasts probably ten of the finest links golf courses anywhere in the world, Irvine is right up there with the best of them at a fraction of the cost. Short par fives, only two par threes, but a fantastic selection of reachable short quirky par fours that are fun and challenging.
A course built into the natural terrain by James Braid, one of his masterpieces, the type of course that no-one would ever build nowadays unfortunately. Great to be able to actually reach most of the par fours. No two holes alike and not a weak hole on the course. A bit slow as fourball in front held me up for twelve holes and wouldn't let me play through. But nothing could take away from the enjoyment of playing this superb track. Best golf since I played the two courses at Machrihanish earlier this year .
Brunston Castle Golf Course
Played On 09/28/2018Heavy going
Very heavy for time of year green staff had cut fairways using heavy machinery which had churned up the fairways greens okay no hole numbers on tee boxes or adequate signage to next tees - confusing at times
Brunston Castle Golf Course
Played On 09/28/2018Heavy
Very wet and heavy for time of year, no run on ball, green staff had cut fairways and heavy machinery had churned them up, greens fine, rest of course. in condition you would expect in Winter not early Autumn, a bit disappointing overall. Nice countryside.
Fereneze Golf Club
Played On 09/25/2017Fantastic course
Fereneze is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Glasgow, a classic moorland course, hilly at the start and finish with amazing views over Glasgow and West Central Scotland. The course is not long, but every hole is different and challenging. The course is in superb condition. Loved it!

Prestwick St Cuthbert Golf Club
Played On 05/09/2017Nice course in great condition
Course in excellent condition. Two golfers in front very slow and just wouldn't let me through even when they were losing balls etc.. Course reasonably interesting.
Fereneze Golf Club

Great course, spectacular views of West Central Scotland, not too long, and some cracking holes, tough in the wind!
Eastwood Golf Club
Played On 04/21/2017Excellent course
First time I have played the course since it was altered several years ago. Some fantastic holes and great scenery. Wouldn't believe you were just a few miles out of Glasgow.
Loudoun Gowf Golf Club
Played On 03/30/2017Super course
Great parkland course in excellent condition, friendly staff. Some great holes, straight driving required and accurate approaches to tight greens. Very enjoyable.
Fantastic review. Disappointing etiquette from the foursome in front which I can only apologise for. Clearly you know the area well and delighted that you appreciate how well our course stands up in the face of strong competition.
Hope we see you again.
