Mission Valley is a private course, but you can get access during most of the year through the Pope Golf email database. The course is not overly challenging, as many fairways are wide open. The greens were a very nice surprise. They played quick, and rolled very true. Much nicer than many courses in the area. I would recommend giving this course a try before the rate hike this winter.

Jacaranda has seen better days. The overall conditions of the course are poor at best. You can get a cheap rate through golf now, but I would never pay more than $20 to play this course. Especially with the staff members I have encountered. They are far from friendly, and seem inconvenienced by your presence. You can do much better in the Venice/Sarasota area for golf. I would play Lake Venice over Jacaranda every day of the week.

The Venetian is a must play in the Sarasota area. Plenty of room off of the tees, but there are well placed bunkers you must avoid on most holes. The greens are fairly large, with multiple levels. Being in the right spot below the pin is key. This is a great course, and I will definitely play it again. Easily one of the best courses in the Sarasota area.

I enjoyed playing Rosedale. This is one of the nicer courses in the Bradenton area. I don't think it's quite on the level of River Strand or Waterlefe, but it's still quite nice. The course was in good condition, but not as pristine as I expected for peak season. It's definitely worth playing though.

University Park is one of the nicer courses in the Sarasota area. The course is in great shape, and the staff is super friendly. If you have the chance, play this course.

I recently played Otter Creek while I was in town for a wedding. I was happy that I picked Otter Creek over other courses in the area. The course layout is very fun. It's fun to play a links style course that can punish wayward shots. The par 3 with the elevated tee is also a very fun challenge. The course was in good shape, and nicer than a lot of Iowa courses I have played in the past. The staff couldn't of been more friendly. I will definitely play here again the next time I am in town.

Riverwood is easily one of the best courses in our area. It is easy to see why it has been rated so highly by Golf Digest and other golf websites. The course is well maintained, and offers challenges on many of the holes. Most holes require an accurate shot off the tee. The greens are fast, so make sure to use the practice green. I will definitely play here again.

I had heard good things about Jacaranda West and decided to give it a try. I was definitely not disappointed. The course is in great shape and offers a decent challenge to golfers. I will be playing here again.

I enjoyed playing this course. It has a nice layout and has some very challenging holes. You will use all of the clubs in your bag, and will be forced to make tough decisions on whether to go for a few greens. I will play here again.

This course was ok. If I payed full price I wouldn't of been impressed at all. It is set up pretty well, with lots of dog legs and obstacles. It definitely has its challenging spots. The overall condition of the course just wasn't that good. If you can get a good rate, book it. Otherwise play one of the nicer courses in Bradenton.

Pretty nice course. Lots of doglegs and hazards, so longer hitters will be hitting fairway woods and even irons off of many tees. It has a pretty challenging layout, while still having some extra room for some errant shots. Many of the greens are very small compared to other local courses, and most are well guarded by bunkers and/or water. As long as you don't get stuck behind group after group of elderly lady golfers, your round will be enjoyable at Boca Royale.

River Strand is a very nice course. It is in great shape, even right now when it has been very dry and other courses are suffering. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I always thoroughly enjoy playing here, and will continue to do so in the future.

I always enjoy Bent Tree. The course was in good shape, my only complaint was that some of the bunkers could use some attention. I will definitely play here again.

I really enjoyed playing at Misty Creek. First off the course was in very good shape. It is a fun and pretty challenging course. There are some narrow fairways, and many hazards that come into play. I will definitely be returning to Misty Creek in the future.

Sarasota Golf Club is an overall good course. There's nothing fancy, its not overly challenging, but its a good solid course. They have pretty good rates, especially this time of the year where some courses get away with highway robbery. I will be playing here again.

Bobcat trail really is a good course for the money. It's a good course, not too tight, but will punish you on many holes if you don't hit the fairway. The greens can also be very challenging depending on how far you hit from the pin. There are many different ridges and levels on many greens, making putting challenging and fun.
