The Links at Jacksonville is a fantastic course that lets you get a taste of British Isles golf in the heart of the Midwest.

It has challenging greens and strategically placed bunkers on almost every hole. There are also several holes with water that force you to make smart club choices and shot selections.

The clubhouse staff was wonderful and the refreshment selection at the turn was surprisingly robust.

Found the course to be challenging but fair. Was grouped with fellas that knew the course so had som insight on the layout.
Wonderful greens and above average fairways-well maintained overall.

The maintenance crew and course superintendent are doing a fantastic job at The Links at Jacksonville!! It would be hard to find a course in better condition anywhere in Central Illinois.
Greens rolled as true as could be and the collars around added a depth of challenge one doesn’t typically find in this area. Greenside bunkers also well groomed and contained good sand to shoot out of.
Fairways and first cut rough were in impeccable shape- don’t think I landed in a divot once.
Snack bar food was delicious- BBQ sandwich drink and chips for $5. Perfect for the turn.
Will be going back regularly this summer!

The tee boxes and a few other areas were recently aerated. Several small River stones were laying about that hindered a few drives and other shots. The greens were smaller than some others I have played but ran fairly true.
Was a pleasant experience overall.
