Chisago Lakes Golf Course
Played On 06/19/2016Fathers Day
First time at the course with my daughter, son-in -law and grandson. The man behind the counter asked if my son-in-law and I were fathers, we said yes and he handed each of us a dozen golf balls. A very nice surprise. Very impressed with the greens, in excellent condition. Fairways were good. Tees could have been mowed shorter. Enjoyed the layout, will be back.
The Refuge Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2015Very nice gol course
Spent Fathers Day golfing with my daughter, son in law and grandson. They were very impressed with the golf course. My son in law who has golfed all over the twin city area said, "I can name 10 private country clubs in the cities that aren't as nice or have better greens than The Refuge. I love this course."
The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Played On 03/08/2015Very nice golf course
Played it yesterday for the first time this year. This is the best course I've played on St Simons Island and Jekyll Island. Greens were in excellent condition. The tees and fairways were also in great shape.
Challenging course with fairly wide fairways. If you got into trouble, it was your own fault. Have a lot of fun playing it.
Jekyll Island Golf Club - Pine Lakes Course
Played On 03/19/2014One of the most picturesque courses played.
This was the second time I played Pine Lakes. Joined up with a couple so we were a threesome. The play seemed slow, we had small waits on every hole but still played it in 4:15.
What happened is that we had the time to really look around at each hole and enjoy the scenery. Hole after hole had just enough change to see something new. Just all around beautiful picturesque scenes
that made the day enjoyable just to be outside with the golf the icing on the cake..
Nice change of pace
Course in good condition. Had over seeded greens, aprons, tees and fairways. Greens had been top dressed a couple of weeks ago, should be good in a couple of weeks. Nice layout, interesting holes.
Would play again.
Jekyll Island Golf Club - Oleander Course
Played On 03/12/2014Last of the three
Oleander was in the poorest condition of the three courses. But still worth playing. Pine Lakes is in the best condition with even the fairways being over seeded. Indian Mounds had the greens and aprons over seeded. Indian Mounds had the most water. All in all, any of the three are good courses to play. Gators and deer add to the enjoyment. Play can be slow at times because of so many high school and college tournaments. Played in March, bermuda grass hadn't started growing yet. Staff very nice.
Thank you for the great review! We are s glad you spent Father's Day with us and you had a great day. We hope you and your family play with us again!
