Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 8/09/2013Good course in very good condition
This course is in very good condition, nice greens, good sand and clean, DRY fairways. Can get stacked up in the afternoon.
East at Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 7/30/2013It's a fun course
For $7.50 you can’t bet it. The East course is closed and the South course is in good to fair condition.
The greens have a few weeds but still play well, the bunkers were ok and the fairways were dry and cut.
The only issues with the property are the bathrooms on the course. They are disgusting, filthy and bug invested.
If they aren’t going to maintain them, then close them and tell the players especially the ladies at check in that they are closed
Celebration Golf Club
Played On 7/28/2013Nice course SLOW play
Played on 7/28, The course shows signs of stress due to all the rain but is still in good condition.
Greens were fast, bunkers were better than expected and the fairways were wet. Actually better conditions than what we expected.
RedTail Golf Club
Played On 7/22/2013First Time
This was the First time we have played Red Tail. It’s an hour and a half ride to the middle of nowhere so it wasn’t high on my list of places to play. We played on the 22 of July, got caught in the mid day rain on hole 8 (the farthest you can be from the club house) so we sat out the rain in the restrooms near the ninth green. About an hour later we returned to a very wet course. Not one of our better days on the course.
The course is in good condition, fairway are clean and cut short, the traps and bunkers were in good condition but full of water and the greens were just fine.
The only negative comment I have is there are too many blind shots. A play book, GPS or some means of identifying trouble areas would help and would certainly speed up play.
White Heron Golf Club
Played On 7/08/2013Arerage course, in fair to good condition
The course is in good condition, the greens were recently punched but still run true. All in all, a good course for a great price.
Oaks Course at Stonegate Golf Club
Played On 07/04/2013Nice course that will be better in a few weeks
This is a great course, We played on the 4th of July and they were Sanding and Fertilizing the GREENS right in front of us.
It made for some tough putts
Everything should be back to normal in a week or two.
Lake Wales Country Club
Played On 6/24/2013Nice layout, but the Greens need attention
Very Plesent course, the elevation changes make it unique for central florida. The greens need attention bady before they loose them.
Diamondback Golf Club
Played On 5/26/2013I really like Diamond Back, BUT !!!!!!
The GREENS are not really playable. They have gone down hill fast and I don't think they are going to be able to save them for summer play. It to bad becuase Its one of my Favorite courses.
Deer Island Country Club
Played On 5/17/2013Nice Layout, Poor condition
This is one of those course's that could be great but isn't.
All 18 greens are dying or burned out. The sand traps are hard with very little sand in them, the tee boxes are uneven and the fire ants have taken over..
It is a great layout and could be a great course, it just need attention.
Oaks Course at Stonegate Golf Club
Played On 5/14/2013OUTSTANDING
Great course in excellent condition. This is a wonderful layout, the greens are tough to read but run true. I don't think I saw a weed on the greens or fairways. Hat off to the grounds keepers and a very well done.
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 4/31/2013challenging course in good condition
This was my first trip to Harmony but it wouldn't be my last. The course is in good to very good condition. Well worth the trip. The course layout is excellent. This is not a walk up and hit the ball as far as you can course. Every shot requires planning and making the shot, or you will be in the water or one of the deepest bunker / greenside traps in florida. which, by the way, were in very good condition. The crew deserves a "very well done" in keeping this course in great shape.
Bartow Golf Course
Played On 4/24/2013Plesent course, good conditions
The course is in good condition, 17 of the greens were smoooth and firm, only one needed attention and it was getting it.
All and all a great day on a very nice course.
EastWood Golf Course
Played On 4/23/2013Not what I was expecting !
After reading severl recent reviews we decided to try Eastwood,
The first three greens need attention, the fairways were wet and in need of attention.
The course did get better but still not the level or condition we were expecting.
Willowbrook Golf Course
Played On 3/29/2013Fun course
The greens are in better condition then they have been in a long time, slow but plush. the fairways are thin but playable, the ruogh is Rough. All in all, a good day for the money.
Alaqua Country Club
Played On 3/26/2013Great course in GOOD condition
The 10th fairway is currently tore up due to some construction, It is a par 5 that is now being played as a par 3. The 15th, a par 3 needs some work on the green, but still very playable.
For this time of year and the amount of play the course has seen, I think it is still one of the best in central florida.
Swiss Fairways Golf Course
Played On 2/2/2013Enjoyable Day
The greens are in good condition, the fairways are in fair to good condition but the carts are in poor condition.
The Plantation Golf Club - Cranes Roost Course
Played On 12/02/2012Tight, Tree line course
Even though it is only 6,100 yds. from the back Tee's, this is a very tight, tree lined course that requires accurate shots from Tee to Green. The coruse is in very good condition, only a couple of greens showed signs of heavy play.
Diamondback Golf Club
Played On 9/11/2012Its tight, bring a few extra balls, you will need them !
Diamond Back is more of a Chess board than a Grip it and Rip it course. It demands concentration, planning and flexibility to score well.
The course had some condition issues over the summer but is coming back nicely.
The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 9/6/2012The Reserve is a Resort course, fun to play with a few challenging holes, always looking good and playing well.
The greens had been recently aerated which you expect this time of year. They were sanded and sweep and played well.
My favorite hole is #7, the tee shot is down a narrow tree line fairway, which as you stand over your ball begins to look more like a bowling alley with gutter's of sand. It requires a dead-on 200 to 225 yard, down the middle shot to be in position for the dog leg left, then a 100 yard wedge to the elevated green. Wow! what a hole.
Remington Golf Club
Played On 1/01/2012Nice course, in fair to good condition
The greens were in good condition, quick and true. The fairways were wet, due to heavy watering for the overseeding, should be in GREAT shape in a week or two.
