Wolf Creek Golf Course
Played On 03/26/2017Airport Friendly
Wolfceek is a good test of your golf game with many tee boxes to choose from. I average 285-300 yard drives and it force the driver on a lot of holes to stay in my bag. May have been a good thing because this course has trouble on both sides of the golf course on many holes. Greens are fair for this time of the year, rolling pretty good and be sure to stay below the hole. Hole #8 is a great hole it requires a long iron to fairway wood no matter what tees you playing from. I'll most definitely play again very soon only at a GolfNow deal. It's going to be in great shape this summer.

When booking the Hot Deals you are treated unfairly (its everywhere). The third in our group was late(paying full price), we had already played number 1 and circle back to await his arrival. 5 minutes pass, the third arrive and we ask the pro shop staff/starter at times/ cart guy etc, if we could all begin at number one? The gentleman replied "you can pay the bounce back of $20 dollars, you took your money to GolfNow and not with me". No more conversation was needed on our part so was kindly left, allowed our third to play number one as we followed and proceeded to finish our round in 3 1/2 hours. Mind you maybe three groups total was on the course. Course is in good shape, fairways are full, the greens are true and smooth. If you want to play it after work, don't bother, the guy close shop at prior to 6:00 PM. I recommend to only play this course unless its an Hot Deal; won't give him a dime of our money or until some changes to pro shop. Its unfair these courses uses GolfNow for the traffic advertisement and then treat the consumers in this matter. I'll use the words of the pro shop guy I spoke about above:" you guys need to take it up with GolfNow and not with us".

Simply one of the best courses in Ga. My favorite is Bears Best, however, when I'm visiting my family South; Crystal Lake is the first order of business prior to seeing family!

In town for 8U World Series Baseball Tournament finish early and was looking for an golf course near me. We've all experienced it, Golfnow here I come. Instantly arriving I was excited of the prestine condition the course looked from the parking lot. Things got a little uneasy when met with the Cash Only sign. Wow, walk to the other side thinking the other line would accept credit cards; no deal off to the Wellsfargo I go. A little taken back, however, nothing was going to stop me from playing. Finally, stood on hole one and looked better from the tee box. Played it back to just take in the prestine conditions and test my game a bit due to the course from hole 1-18 is right in front of you. Ball sit up on the fairways best I've seen in a while. Tee box to greens manicured all around. Love, love this course and will be playing it before my departure heading back to Atlanta.

Golf is a very humbling game and I usually don't say much about another golfers swing. Here is the exception to the rule, arrive at hole 4 after pushing my six iron right and was greeted by a Charles Backley impersonation of a golf swing. Literally, guy on hole five I thought was his pre shot routine and literally had an C.B moment couldn't take a swing. Too that gentleman I do apologies for this review, playing partners allowed me to go through and although it was the ugliest I've seen (Him and C.B tie); yet the fellow looked to still be having a good time. Right to the review, course in good shape and greens are good.

Played On 04/24/2016Give a Week or Two!
I haven't played this course in almost 15 years. The course is maintain well and the layout drives you to make accurate shots. The above heading is a semi warning to give it a few more weeks to allow greens to come back from aeration during this time for many courses. I must stay true to my review, for some reason 10 was played as a par 3 from a mat to the left of the fairway(construction I suppose). Long hitters check your yardage book and play too the 150. Fairways are decent this time of year and be sure to bring some sort of yardage devices(Garmin S4 for me); a lot of elevation to change your eyesight. First timers, play to the 150. With that, I'll give it a few more week and will return!

Played On 04/10/2016Wet Your Towel
This time of year I suppose hard to find grass in the fairway. Please be sure to wet your towel to clean the Ga Clay off your clubs. Green where being treated like everyone else around this time of year; so don't expect to make any one putt. I'll wait awhile before I decide to go back to play again.

Staff at the Proshop not welcoming unpon my arrival. Starter allowed a group to tee off 40 minutes prior to tee time(how I know? Glad you ask, a local was kindly enough to let me know when I announced by tee time). However, I sat an waited the next 20 minutes to tee off, no one, I mean no one had gone off; strike 2. Yet the starter stared at his tee sheet as if I wasn't there, strike 3. Another local appeared, his group a no show and I asked if, I asked if I could join him(Thanks Mr. Jack). The course itself, a good test of golf, greens are very fast and you best stay below the hole on almost all the holes. Dekalb County has done a great job of continued to work daily to keep this course in good shape. I recommend to overhaul the entire staff at the pro shop and the starter that worked April 07, 2016 AM. A nice course, however, I won't be back and even a great course can't save it from a horrible customer services in any business.
Dear Schredrick9193753,
Thank you for the 4-Star review. We appreciate you taking the time to give us your honest feedback as we strive to create the best possible golfing experience for the community.

Played On 04/05/2016Chris Chandler I Found Your Ball Hiding From You!
Found Chris Chandler B330 golf ball at the Par 3 over water, in the water(his ball personalized I'M Not Loss Just Hiding From Chris Chandler). Oh yea, why I'm here, great course, greens are awesome, and you better bring your A game. Not a long course, do not try to over power it; if you miss long hitters you will pay for off target shots. I was lucky enough to play with a few locals that plays each Tuesday and their course knowledge was helpful. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the fun. Sharpen your games, head out for a great test of golf and I'm very sure you will enjoy.

Played On 12/29/2015Great Test For Your Game
This is a wonderful layout. Although the rain wouldn't allow you to judge the fairways, I'm sure they are manicured under better condition and greens are in good condition even in soggy conditions. The only negative was the wet condition, still the experience was a winner. I caution all golfers however, bring your A game. Heritage will give you all you can handle plus more. This course will test all aspects of your game and expose any weaknesses. If you looking for feedback for your game this is the place. I'll be back!!
Thank you Schredrick for your review of Heritage Golf Links. We appreciate you taking the time and are happy you enjoyed yourself on the course. Heritage can be a good challenge even for the experienced golfer and we are happy to hear you will be back!

Was looking for something new and prestine to play. Why not, it's in Alpharetta, wrong. Nice layout, lost many of its green. Really didn't understand, hasn't been that hot this summer. Left and went next door, Atlanta Throphy Club, great shape!

Although it was a nice course, losing a lot since the days of the Buick Open. Staff very arrogant and rude when found out we book through Golfnow. If you in the area and want that resort friendly accommodation go elsewhere; if you not truly caring about being treated by all means I recommend. Keep in mind 30 plus handicappers will be playing and no Marshall in site to police. By the way 90 plus degrees and water coolers empty.
We apologize that you had a bad experience. We are just seeing this as we had a login problem that was just resolved. We appreciate your post and hope that you will give us another try.

The course is beginning to come back. New ownership and his guys are working. Had the course to ourselves and really enjoyed the round. Greens are nice, just a little slower than normal. Fairways are still hard, a lot of run out on your tee shots. Management is beginning to work on the fairways.
Stonemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course
Played On 04/09/2015Cart Path Only
A greeting from the starter asking me why I haven't played the course before; due to being from the Atlanta area. I thought I was in for a treat, a short ride down the first fairway, although a nice guy, quickly realize, Stone Mountain maybe in a financial crisis. Maybe a little spoil from my week of resort golf having just left Amelia Island the last few days. I pressed on and realize that the super may have made a bad decision by allowing 90 degrees play. Course hadn't dried out and we had to play lift clean and place all day. I played with some out of towners and felt sorry for them that they paid $140.00; plus that $15 entry fee(really). Even with the GolfNow rate I received, plus the entry fee, it was not worth the experience of resort style golf. Being a true southerner, the next day, I took our guest to a less expensive and more worthy place to show Atlanta has a resort style golfing experience that we all was looking for. Maybe in years past, Stonemountain may have been, but for the money they are charging, my suggestion would be to stay clear of this one. Greens are fair, fairways are bare in most places and if you are playing the Stone side, only a few pic worthy of Stone Mountain.

Visiting the island for the very first time and the locals help me with my golfing adventure. I was scheduled to play this course day 2 and decided to play with a local gentleman I met at another course (Amelia River) he recommended while watching Duke win. Although the recommendation was great, playing this course day 3, wasn't even close. Scored a excellent rate on Golfnow and had a excellent time playing the course. Course is very playable for the immediate players and a good test of golf for some of you pros. Greens are true and I was told by my local playing partner; they will get faster, so stay below the hole on most approach shots. A must play if you are on the island visiting and be sure to book a spa day for your lady; you want to make sure she's enjoying her day, as you will yours.
Cobblestone Golf Course
Played On 03/18/2015We've All Done It☺️
A night before pre-planning, unexpected day off from wok for a golf day adventure. Thanks to Golfnow, I had several option for my day. Cobblestone came to mind due to the outstanding first time playing the course about a month ago, from an invite of a friend (even thought it was wet out). After a quick stop at the local PGA Superstore for new wedges, I was greeted on the tee box with excellent green fairways, yes green this time of year. Paired with a local, I was told a new super has been bought in. Though out the round, super hard at work has been clearly done from greens, tee boxes and landscaping. I can talk all day about the course upkeep that's taking place. Let's not forget, a good test of golf for all skill levels. I can't wait for this summer, guys don't missed this opportunity to play this course, its a hidden gem. Be warned, got to work the ball both ways and then second shots needs to be accurate. A must to play and made easier using Golfnow!

Played On 03/15/2015Curious and Finally Played!
Many times I searched to booked online for new places to play and was curious about this one. Finally decided why not and had a great experience. Staff very friendly upon arrival and the guys got a look at my bag, being a single, paired me with a father/son challenge that could play. Charles and Charlie was their names, very easy to remember. Maybe it was late in the day, the one negative, two groups ahead couldn't hit the ball 150 yards; once we got through, with no assistance from a marshall in site; smooth sailing. Be warned, 5700 from the tips, but you have to hit quality tee shots. Very forgiving with loose shots, a number of holes you are hitting through a shoot and have to work your golf ball. This time of year, fairways are bare; super working hard to keep the fairways in some shape. With that, still had a great time with a good test of golf. Not sure if they are investing funds as they use too, but, you can tell they are going in the right direction. Course is short, but uphill, downhill lies into greens protect from going too low. Had a good time and can't wait to get my group out this spring when it's green and pretty!

Played On 02/15/2015Better Than Most!
Presently surprise the staff greeting was pleasant even after telling them my reservation was through Golfnow. Great rate by the way. Rare, but, true story, staff greeted me well! Although a single and giving the ok by the starter, prior to teeing off, starter ask for permission from me to play with a group of individuals that had an group member to hit a hole in one; Friday the 13th! Enough about the customer service, game ready match, it was own. With a group of locals, I had guidiance around a nice layout, well if they could have ever gotten the tee box. No, guys were great. Greens rolled well and fairways was in excellent condition. Warning to the long hitters, play to the 150 mark, you score better from the short grass. Short 5 pars, you better be accurate on your second shots. 4 Pars are very reasonable and par 3s are very accessible. Guess what, you smack in the middle of Disney, how did I forget Mickey? GPS carts made the guess work yardage easy and all you have to do is golf your ball to your club selection. I must say, cold beer, great cigar and a nice playing partner; couldn't beat it! Thanks Golfnow!
Durham Lakes Country Club
Played On 02/08/2015We Are Out Of Carts
The sign on the door read"we are out of carts"! It was more of no working carts. At this point, what could you do, green fees had been paid and its 60 degrees? I was warned that the cart wouldn't last, but 9 holes and someone could bring me a better one after 9, wrong. Finally, I'm at the first tee, greeting by a family of 7 in the middle of the 5 par. Wait time 15 minutes before I was able to tee off. Great drive, I guess the frustration help, 7 Iron into the green. Remember the family of 7, wave me through, one problem, dad left the children in harms way. Let's just say, best shot of the day, baby draw around the small children safely on the green! Hole four, met up with a nice group that requested me to join them, warning shot from a group member, "it's a group of 5 up front, slowing everyone down". Accepted the offer and they where right, group of fivesome holding it down and my day began with a sea of abandon carts from there on in. I think I counted 11, including, you guess it; mines and my playing partners. Bumper cars and many phone call later at 15, a fresh cart arrived. My playing partners decided that we would ask for a green fee for the weekday, wrong again, by the time we did finish, golf shop closed! On purpose I supposed and beat this, as much as I love Golfnow Hotdeals, Sunday rates I'm being told is always $25 dollars, could at least saved a few dollars had I know. About the course, fairways are bare and they are losing the greens. Durham Lakes has hit hard times and customer service is a joke! Stay Away!
Browns Mill Golf Course
Played On 07/18/2014Some Deals Are Not Worth It!
Had to wait an additional hour to tee off, due to the course regulation to not allow a single to take a cart. Course was not crowed and was still required to wait for another single. Once paired up and allowed to play, the deal show it's true color. Should have know upon the first tee, no marshall to greet or help with pace of play. Greens where being serviced without notification, but was able to roll the rock. Course was in fair shape for a city course. With that being said, two driving range group held up the entire course( literally teeing off several balls by all in the group). My playing partner and I decided after 13, instead of continuing to watch both driving range groups, we left. It was much easy to leave with the rate we paid. As I stated earlier, be real careful of the GolfNow deals, I would had rather paid full price somewhere else to at least had the opportunity to finish play; instead, Atlanta traffic was my back nine. Worst experience ever on a golf course.
Thank you for your 5 Star review! We are thrilled that you love our course so much. Hope to see you soon!
