Eagle's Landing
Played On 06/11/2019Wind makes the course very challenging
Played on a turned out to be a gorgeous day. Overnight rain made the course cart path only and may have kept the crowds away as the course was virtually empty when our round was over at 2. Course is in great shape and certainly is challenging on days when the wind picks up. Though not a terribly long course, there are plenty of carry holes and the rough is cut high right now so bring extra balls if you don’t hit your irons long and/or accurately. Not the value it used to be and I wonder in this day of waning interest in the game if the course should revisit its pricing model.
The Bay Club - West Course
Played On 11/06/2017Perfect Fall Golf Day
I'm not sure why the East course gets more love than the West at the Bay Club. I find the West to be a much more interesting layout with a few water holes mixed in with a bunch of dog legs running through the woods. The course had recently taken on some water and some fairways were soft, but the course was in good shape overall and the greens were fast and true. The staff was extremely friendly and pace of play on a gorgeous fall Monday afternoon was fairly wide open. The golfnow price included a bucket of balls. Great value for the money.
Ocean Pines Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2017Great Day
Fun course played in about 4 1/2 hours on a unseasonably warm day in November. Range located next to first tee, balls reasonably priced but not included in cost. Challenging course that plays fair to all players. Course was in good conditions when we played though rough was a little long making it very hard to locate your ball amongst the leaves. The course does retain water so it can be soft making for some extra challenges on some fairway approaches. The course is one of the best values in the area.
Ocean Pines Golf Club
Played On 10/23/2017Extremely fair an enjoyable course.
Played course on a gorgeous late autumn day through Golfnow for under $20, an unbelievable price for such an enjoyable round. Course had taken on a lot of water recently according to the starter. A couple of holes had aerated portions of the greens but that was the only negative and really it wasn't more than a couple of feet on maybe 2-3 holes. The course is challenging and rewards shotmaking ability over length. We played the round in just over 4 hours and thoroughly enjoyed our day. Look forward to playing the course again soon.
Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your round at our Robert Trent Jones-designed course. We agree that it's a challenging but fair layout! Fall is a wonderful time to play golf on the Eastern Shore, but we are open year-round and look forward to having you visit us again soon!
Ocean City Golf Club - Newport Bay
Played On 10/20/2017Awesome staff made the round!
Newport Bay is a nice course with gorgeous vistas especially on the back 9 but something about the course feels like it was squeezed into the property and doesn't seem to quite flow. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Though we were supposed to be paired with another golfer, the starter offered to start us on the back 9 which was wide open. At the turn, the starter told us we could play wherever as there was nobody on the course that late in the day. We played a few holes on the front 9 which were not as pictuesque or interesting as the back so we skipped over to Seaside and played 9 or so holes. Frankly, I enjoyed Seaside more and would look to play that course next time. Regardless, both were fun courses especially for the prices Golfnow offers. The staff made day though!
Thank you so much for your feedback! We've had beautiful fall weather and are glad you were able to take advantage of it by playing Ocean Pines. We agree that our Robert Trent Jones-designed course offers a challenging but fair layout at a great price. We're open year-round, so we hope you'll come back and play a round with us again soon!
