Providence Golf Club

We had an early tee time. Our group tried to hit balls at the range prior until they turned on all the sprinklers and chased us off. Not only did we get soaked but our bags were drenched. The starter had no sense of urgency to get them turned off or even offer an apology after all the scrambling by the golfers at the range. The sprinklers also drenched all the carts as well. On top of the great pre round activities the course wasn’t in the shape that I would have thought based off of the reviews. I will say, that the greens were in great shape and I really liked the layout.

DO NOT PLAY HERE. Greens are lost. New Ownership has turned a blind eye to it. He is never around and the manager acts like the course is not n great shape. I have heard he doesn’t even treat the members the way they should be treated. Friend with 20 or so who are leaving ASAP. Course is so bad it’s inexcusable! Won’t play here until they fix the course and attitude.

Course was in great condition. Well maintained and always fun place to play. Greens were rolling nice which gave it a nice challenge.

Staff was amazing. I was right off a plane and staff were so accommodating with my luggage and bc I was early they put me out with another group so I wasn’t waiting around. Course condition was good but very very wet due to the seeding that was done recently. The only knock is that the grounds crew (which was many) were all driving all over the place buzzing around corners etc I’ve never seen so much activity on a course.
