I came to golf at Downingtown Country Club alone and was warmly greeted by the pro shop staff and immediately hooked up with a group. What a relief not to have to hang around and hope someone would take pity on me! They did a nice job of including me in the right group.
The changes to the course layout are really positive. The staff told me there is a new putting green opening in May, and since this is an area of my game that needs work I may also take them up on the Friday night putting clinics.
It was great to see Ron there that day - he is so positive and adds to the positive atmosphere in Downingtown. Great day of golf.
