this used to be a very good golf course in fact once had P.G.A. Tour qualifying there,good news...greens ,"the"fairways in good shape,now the bad,bunkers on the front need help and raking all of the lakes on the front side are almost dry now in fact the lake on "9" is now covered in wild flowers,really takes away from the course,had a "HUGE" back up on the 15th hole,long par 3 had 5 groups waiting to play it,plus no marshall was seen at all that day,needless to say will not go back and play it again ever,unless the conditions change for the better

went back and played this course it is in preety good shape has a lot of water put on it to try to keep it in good shape,some reviews said that the greens in not good shape they are ok not really that bad, kinda fast for how they look played in about 4 hours tee time of 6:28am very pretty bar tender/hostess makes it nice to be able to have wait on you there

Went back to play starr pass is outside of town in the foothills and now has 27 holes but right now you will play the original 18 holes that was used in the P.G.A. tourney very good course good greens and great shape in the fairways and the bunkers had lots fun playing today did not score well but it was a tricky wind and affected almost every shot but did not make the day bad at all will go back and play again

played this course again for the 2nd time in a couple of weeks,First thing the restaurant does not serve "hot"food til 10:00am free range balls but the beverage cart person :gets lost" only saw her twice in 18 holes and the first time was at the 9th hole,overall course is in decent shape and the greens are ok most if not all are raised the front nine is the best(used to be the back nine) that plays around a mountain,needs to have a ranger around to make the other golfers pick up the pace of play

first time playing in many years have rerouted the course the old back nine is now the front nine,they should go back to the original layout,now has a driving range(used to not have one) the carts have G.P.S. on them and makes it easy to see the layout,got very windy after about the 8th hole and made playing the course very difficult,over not bad is a good bargain on some tee times

1 1/4 hour frost delay,but the starter(s) did get me out with a very nice twosome from texas and another guy from the "northeast" around 12:35pm course in very good shape but the sand in the bunkers is not what is the common desert sand tricky to play out of. greens are Hard To Read lots of small tiers and the such making reading them tough wind really picked up after the 10th hole and made shotmaking a challenge but overall a nice day for golf

played with several nice gentleman,weather was perfect and pace of play very good course is very nice and has a good layout,started on the back nice,greens are kinda tricky to read have seen breaks that are hard to see need to look at all of the angles,some hidden tee shots really need to play with someone who knows the course but is worth trying ..courses is out in the middle of the desert but has houses around most of the holes can get very windy which will make the course very hard

course has a good layout after the redo,pushed up greens and today the wind was blowing from the southwest made club selection kinda tough, up until the 7th green very nice after the 7th green lots of bare spots in them which is not a good sign,played in about 4 1/2 hours not to bad for a golf course in Phoenix this tie of year nice staff and very polite

the layout for this course is very good,green are fairly slick and kinda hard to read,but the course has really gone down in terms of the condition it is in and it has been overseeded,has a great layout but it is sufffering from a lack of money being spent to maintain it,most bunkers/sand traps do not have sand in them and the"waste areas" are in horrible shape if a little bit of money was spent here this could really be a gem in the desert,the staff in the pro shop is very nice and the starter is also very nice and very friendly

e-mail special $20.18 to play and the course had a lot of players/groups today bunkers have been improved and where nice,Again still need to have barber poles on each hole to show 150/100 and maybe 200 yards to greens,they had a couple days of frost several days ago and it is showing in the greens very bumpy But they should come around(if no more frost) in a week or so,but it is still worth playing this course,the staff is great and the outside service guys are wonderful

this is a good golf course and would say to play it,But the greens have LOTS of pitchmarks and this takes away from the overall experience of playing the course,yes I know that is not the fault of the course,But the starter does tell you to fix them and I guess no ones it paying him any attention on this matter...if this is correctted it makes the whole deal better

this is a fun and very nice laid out golf course,has very good greens(it has been overseeded) pretty well maintained bunkers lots of bunkers that can be in play it the golf shot is off line..nice par 3 holes,was kinda slow but we played in under 4 1/2 hours which is not bad for a saturday in the arizona fall time of year played the white tees which is more than enough but the blue tees would make it a true challenge for some players..first time to play this course and will come back to play it again

Slow Sunday,not much play today,course,except for the bunkers in very good shape,some had grass in then from the overseed,some had littel sand in them ..greens are a challenge to read had to take the setting sun into account(rye overseed) and then a couple still had weird breaks in them...no cartgirl(teed off at 1:10pm)and the "halfway" place closed at 2:00 but the bar was still open at the turn,great weather really perfect for phoenix ...

this golf course is "IT" in great shape from the overseed and has a great layout..interesting choice of holes/layout and how it is routed...excellent greens and nice bunkers..great driving range to warm up on

First time playing this course in several years,do not know why I have taken so long to come back in very good shape overall nice day until 10:00amish got hot then,but worth playing again greens in great shape and fairways nice

courses was in very good shape greens in excellent shape for this time of year,bunkers very wet at the start of the round(played 2nd group out) my only complaint is there needs to be 150 yards barber poles(black and white) for a yardage guide otherwise great time played in 3 hours 15 minutes

First the course no longer takes american express,lucky i had some cash,no beverage cart and the course needs to have 150 markers on every hole some do some don't,greens had been punched a while back and still have not recovered,lots of sand still,so very slow,also it is losing its grass due to the "heat/humidity and the monsoon rains" will not go back to play

played in the second group out on sunday,first 5 or so holes greens kinda spotty and they had been punched in the past several week,but they did get better as the round went along,course is in very good shape for this time of year,lots of flies but did not bother me or the others in the group,the course marhall had cool towels and there is water bottles every 3 holes and 2 seperate cart girls on each nine and they are very friendly...they do really put the water to the course so there are a few wet areas but play lift and clean and place and you will be good to go

this is a great course good price wonderful layout..BUT.. they are overwatering it and causing it to have lots of muddy spots in the fairways and the bunkers are so so sometimes raked but for the most part not raked,the fairways had just been punched and also the greens it should be in tiptop shape in about a month but for right now not worth driving down from phoenix to play But they do give you water bottles at the practice range and on about every 3rd hole to keep you from passing out,But at the turn there was no water in the ice cooler and the cart girl was almost invisible only saw her twice in 18 holes

played vistoso today(saturday before memorial day) no one was out there was in the second group off today and was not crowed at all greens are in very good shape,yes there is some burnout in the fairways and i am sure that will be corrected with a punch or some thatching of the fairways,but over all course in very good shape and it always a pleasure to play pro shop staff is awesome and so is the outside services,only complaint beverage cart girl kinda disappears during the round only saw her twice once on the front and once on the back nine
