Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course
Played On 05/14/2017What A golf Course
WOW,this is a golf course, kinda push up bunkers all around, perfect greens slower than they look, very interesting layout with lots of different looking holes play the one up tees the first time to get used to the layout, yardages on sprinklers but it seemed longer look at the pin placements on the card, what seems to be a small landing area is bigger than it seems, every hole is interesting to play , to gauge breaks in the greens look at several different sides not every thing breaks off the mountains..Too bad it is gonna close on 5-21-2017 for the summer
Peaks at Tonto Verde Golf Club
Played On 04/30/2017hard course but nice
most everyone was very nice and friendly from the bag drop to the pro shop to the cart girl, but the ranch starter has not he thinks he is "the man" i was booked as a single and he wanted me to play by myself behind lots of foursomes i asked him if he had anyone to pair me up with, tried to call on his dead radio, he got no response,This is a semi private golf course and at this time of year lots of members playing, course was in very good shape and the weather was perfect low 80's
Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club
Played On 04/16/2017great golf course
as always w/r is in great condition/shape and the staff is always very nice from the pro shop staff to the "1st" starter to everyone,My only complaint is the beverage cart lady,Rude..we saw her on a tee bax around 5th or 6th hole she turned around and went away, did not she her again for at least 6 or so holes and asked her why she turned and left..she did not answer..and then was rude about helping us with drinks or ice at that time..she needs to be told that the people playing the course help her keep her job.. otherwise course is in GREAT shape, greens awesome....hard to read and very quick/fast but a great golf course a long way from phoenix/scottsdale/glendale but worth the drive
Foothills Golf Club
Played On 04/15/2017the good the bad the ugly
The Good: the o.s guys are Great, very friendly and helpful as is the pro shop staff,The Bad: this courses is in horrible shape no grass on the fairways Lots of Bald spots on the greens, and very bumpy, need to be punched or something to get the grass back in shape and growing only good green is 17 due to it having a double green it is ok and in fair shape:the ugly the tees boxes have no level spots or areas they need to be sanded and closed off to make them better... i remember when this used to be one of the better golf courses in the greater Phoenix area...NO MORE ...Sad,Sad SAD

Arizona Golf Resort
Played On 01/29/2017horrible and the golf pro shop no help
teed off at 2:0pm had a foursome in front of us that should have been at a pitch and putt, nine hole course or a putt putt place, the 2 ladies could not hit it 40 yards and the 2 guys where not much better, would stop and talk off the tee about 75 yards out for 5 minutes or so,at the turn went into the pro shop to see if they could ask them to pick up the pace, was told no one to go out and do this, they did not have the staff, i understand being this time of year in the phoenix area for slow players, but to have no help or concern from the golf shop, well will not return
Hi "desertgolfer55" We apologize about your recent experience at the course today. We wish the group in front of you would of let you play through. Being an afternoon tee time we only had one person in the golf shop at the time who could not leave the golf shop unattended. We apologize about the misunderstanding and hope that you will give us another try.
Golf Club at Vistoso
Played On 01/08/2017Great Golf Course
went to play this course again as it was wild card weekend and the Cowboys had a bye, staff is very friendly from the outside services guys to the golf shop to the snack bar girls to the beverage cart girl, course is in great shape and the greens roll pure but hard to read, best bet is to read from every angle and then see if they break towards tucson towards the setting sun, hardly anyone on the course you will basically have it to yoursellf..that is a fun time to not really see anyone while playing golf here
Poston Butte Golf Club
Played On 12/18/2016fun to play, but cold

Kokopelli Golf Course
Played On 11/26/2016first time in a good while to play
pro shop staff and in the snack bar very nice, gold courses is in ok shape but could be better, lots of pitch marks on the greens and the bunkers had very wet and heavy sand, difficut to play for us desert guys, fairways in decent shape but 3 of them roped off not sure why overwise 90 degree cart rule.group in front of us SLOW and asked the course marshall to try to speed them up on 9th tee, first time seeing him he said he would and we never saw him again, tracy the beverage cart gal very friendly and nice.greens hard to read and putt
Lone Tree Golf Club
Played On 11/06/2016slow play,ok shape
played on a sunday afternoon, course had just come out of overseed and it was a weekend, lots of players it was SLOW,but that is to be expected for this time of year some upgrades to the golf courses but bunkers in kinda bad shape not raked in some, some were raked and there was a ajga tourney playing behind my group
The Legacy Golf Club
Played On 08/24/2016is it a top 25 in phoenix?
course is in great shape from the fairways o the greens to the bunkers especially for this time of year in phoenix, pro shop staff very nice, starter also very nice, bev cart girl smelled great and also very nice and very friendly and easy on the eyes, greens tricky to read but in great shape and putted great.my only complaint is the rough around the greens is very thick and you could spend some time looking for the ball
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 07/31/2016same old .. same old
the facilities have really changed at las sendas new pro shop and different drop off area bigger parking lot.now the golf course is also different you tee off on what used to be the back nine but only during the summer in the winter you go back to the original routing, bunkers in pretty good shape, fairway and the rough have the summer stress/burnout going on,not sure why las sendas has this issue but has been like that for years, lots of houses now on the courses..But the Greens are in very good shape great layout, had a thunder and lightening show early this morning.but cleared up and we played 18 holes no problem
Power Ranch Golf Club
Played On 07/04/2016early morning tee time
got a 5:40am tee time and was out after several of the members played their weekly or buddies game, pace was great, played in less than 3 hours, greens in good shape(note will be punched on tuesday and wednesday) most of the fairways and rough and bunkers in good shape for this time of year.haven't played in several years,my choice and was glad that i went back and played it again
Elephant Rocks at Williams
Played On 06/04/2016went to play to get out of the heat in phoenix
this is a fun and nice golf course, went up there to avoid the first real heat wave in phoenix,118 degrees in phoenix,88 degrees in Williams,az. in the afternoon 2:30pm tee time, starters where very busy had a tourney that had just finished but nice and friendly, grumpy guy in the bar but understandable due to tourney, greens and golf course in great shape nice layout is a bit different after 5th hole these are the "new"holes added several years ago but blends nice and the 18th hole is almost worth the time to play the course, will go back and play again for sure.
Canoa Ranch Golf Club
Played On 05/27/2016glad i went back to play
first the outside services staff and the bar staff and the pro shop staff very nice and friendly, wide open course no one was really playing today, beautiful weather for may in arizona, course was in very good shape after the rough patch from early in the year, now the one bad thing, greens "VERY FURRY" looked like they had been cut,but was told just had been aerated a couple of weeks ago,had to knock the cover off the ball to try to get it to the cup/hole but other than that fun to play and would return to play again
Foothills Golf Club
Played On 05/08/2016going down hill
this used to be a very high end golf course, but today it seems just worn out,the grass is getting worn out and the greens are good in some places but need a lot of work lots of dead places on them..to say the least i will not be going back to play this course and i got a deal via an e-mail to play for only $20.00..and with the amount of golf courses in this area and in phoenix in general again i would not send anyone to play here even for the deal..the "greeter" at the bag drop not freindly at all.BUT the pro shop people are very nice
Arizona National Golf Club
Played On 04/16/2016great course, but too long to play it today
checked in very friendly staff and starter very nice, course in great shape, greens tricky to read "got to know where tucson is"NOW the bad Very slow today over 5 hours to play no course marshall at all to help out..and windy at heck, but really did not affect play that much, course was in great shape except for some of the fairway bunkers could have had a little more sand in them and maybe some more of the 100,150,200 yardage markers on most of the holes, but had a good time and will make the trip back to play
Preserve Golf Course
Played On 03/19/2016worth the drive, great mountain backdrops
the course is in great shape except for a lot of water has been put on it and left the bunkers in so/so shape, not raked it looked like but had sand in them, but the greens are really good to putt on and kinda hard to read, must take into account the big mountain range "behind"the course and where tucson is located if you have not played the course before some blind areas that will come into play nice par 3s and the course sits at about 3400 feet so the ball will travel a bit further..it is fun to play, tokens used on the range so get more than one
to warm up
It sounds like you are describing Club West not the Foothills. #17 at the Foothills is a par 5 with a single green. At Club West #17 is an elevated par 3 with a double green. The Foothills is also in great shape!
