Juniper Golf Club
Played On 09/14/2018Long ball
Several blind shots and lots of elevated tee boxes. The fairways are nice and wide and par 5's are over 600 yards from the tips. 5 tee boxes so you can play to your ability. Greens are fast and smooth. Clubhouse is beautiful. My Lear favorite is the driving range. A nice high desert course.
Juniper Golf Club

We spent two weeks in Bend playing golf. We came back here three times as it was a very nice high desert course and was by far the best price. The course has several forced carry shots and plenty of elevation changes. I really just didn't like one hole as it is a blind shot and that just makes it seem unsafe. The tee boxes and greens are not close so no worries about getting hit by another player. With 5 sets of tee boxes you can play you can go for the green on a couple par fours and stretch out the par five to over 600 yards. It has a nice club house and great driving range and is easy to get to from Bend. Bring your camera it has some great photo holes. The snake we saw was about 2 feet long and was not a rattlesnake.
Los Prados Golf Course

Slightly shorter this course was perfect for my wife and I. Most par 4's are just under 300 yards so she could go for the green in regulation and I could try and drive them. We played quickly and two groups waved us through. Houses line the wide fairways and there just isn't much trouble to get into. This course plays slightly longer then an excutive course and is not target golf.
Aliante Golf Course
Played On 4/22/2013Super nice staff
As part of the Troon group I thought this would be super upscale. While nice it wasn't Troon North. Fairways were big, sand traps soft and greens were several types of grass that makes for interesting putting. The marshals checked pace of play several times. A couple of tunnels on the front offer a nice cool spot as you travel between holes. The club house is nice and has a grill. Golf, cart, range balls and beer for 50.
El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Conquistador Course
Played On 4/20/2013Not suprized, slow golf on Saturday
Under 50 for golf, cart, free range balls and beer! The pace of play was slow so even slow groups kept up. The grill closes at 1:00, so no quick bites outside. The two restrooms have locks so a quick tip, check your golf cart key ring before you start the round. The sides of many fairways are hilly which puts your slightly off line shot back in the fairway. You have several uphill shots that you must club up on.

The physical address differs from the one on golf now, so finding the club house was an adventure. The 2 dollar bucket of balls is about 15 balls. The course is in great shape with firm greens that run on the fast side. Most fairways are Hilled on the edges so slightly off line shots funnel back towards fairway. 4 sets of tees to play 6000, 5000, 4000, 3000 for the 18 holes. Good restrooms, ice and water on course. No beer babe which suprized me. Marshal came by to check pace of play and gave us a couple of lost balls to adopt. Several short par 4's to try and drive. This course is on a hill so temp's slightly cooler. Golf, cart and lunch for under 50 works for me.
Golf Club at Vistoso
Played On 4/17/2013Sunny Delight
It's been 20 years sense I last played here. The condition of the course was not nearly as nice, but the price has dropped to match. For well under 50 I got a round, cart, bucket of balls and 2 beers. That makes it a good value for me. The fairways were a little brown from some water problem the month before and the greens a little bumpy and slow. Sand traps are hard ( I tried several of them) and if you don't buy the yardage book you won't know the dangers off the tees ( lots of forced lay ups). It's not as grand as it once was but very reasonable for the area.
River's Edge Golf Course
Played On 9/19/2012Rent a cart it's hilly
Beautiful course with a lot of elevated tee boxes. Your driver may not always be the best club as you hit through the fairway on a couple of doglegs. The only drawback it's crossing a major road to reach a couple holes.

Yes, I like to hit a few range balls befor I play. Yes, I really like that they are included in my green fees. Ok, so I'm a little sheltered, but I had never seen a tractor sized leaf blower on a course befor during the middle of the day. The marshal came by twice on the front nine and helped a slower group in front of us to increase their speed of play by moving them up a tee box. My only complaint was finding the proshop as it's under the lodge so you have to carry your clubs 50 feet as no carts in parking lot. Overall a great golfing experience.
The Greens at Redmond
Played On 9/14/2012To tuff for newbies
This excutive course is rolling and a good challenge to your game. The biggest issue is the locals learning to golf as it's to hard for them so the pace of play is slow. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones but hasn't been maintained and looks a little frayed at the edges, just details. But course plays nice.

A nice resort course lined with trees. If your a little wild off the tee like me you can bounce a few balls of the cabins.
