Lost Plantation Golf Club
Played On 04/05/2022Quick Cheap Round
Course was in pretty rough shape. Greens looked worse than they played. Rest of the course was pretty beaten up. If you want to just get out and play a quick round, especially for a cheap price, this isn't a bad place. Just don't expect too much.
Bergen Point Golf Club
Played On 09/05/2021Nice course, but conditions have been better.
Have played this course a handful of times the last few years and unfortunately, the conditions were a little rougher than anticipated, but I'm guessing that could be due to all the rain this summer. Greens were in good shape and putts rolled well. Got a good deal on GolfNow and it was definitely worth the money. Hoping they get it back into the shape that it was in the previous few years.

Played On 06/21/2021Fun Course, Quick Round
Fun Layout, played in just over 4 hours. Didn't have to wait all day. Fairways and greens were in very good shape. Rough was in okay condition, but there were some weeds here and there. Overall, if you can get a hot deal on the course, it's well worth the money.

Played On 09/23/2019Nice Course, Good Conditions, Good Value
First time playing the course. Facility is very nice from inside the clubhouse to the practice area to the course. Conditions were very good. Front nine was very nice and fair with all hazards in front on you. My issue with this course is the back 9 which has many gimmicky holes. I played from the Blue tees which had a few holes with tees that forced you to aim away from the fairway since there were trees or bushes blocking the normal line of play. From what I could see, the Black tees looked even more blocked out. Also, there was a long par 3, 200+ yards that had a very small green and landing area with nowhere to bail out. Overall, a well-maintained course that is worth playing.
Pocono Hills Golf Course
Played On 09/24/2017Great Course to Play at a Very Reasonable Price!
Went up to the area for the weekend to play a few rounds of golf. Course was in great shape and what you would expect for the area...elevation changes, blind shots, undulating greens. A few holes can feel very tight while others seem more open and getable. Overall, a very fun course to play and a nice challenge.

Played On 10/11/2016Nice Course, But Only a Few Memorable Holes
Course was in good condition. Greens were true and running a good speed. There are a few very nice, memorable holes, but overall, the layout can be a bit monotonous. Some greens had pin placements where you could not stop the ball near the hole, nor even on the green. Par 3s are long from the back tees and Par 5s are long as well. It is a very nice course, but not something where every hole will impress you. Also, even in mid-October, there were gnats all over the place which made it hard to concentrate, especially when putting. Even with the pros and cons, it is definitely worth playing.
Mount Airy Golf Club
Played On 10/10/2016Very Nice, Challenging Couse
The course was in great condition. Not an overly long course, but one that requires accuracy and good touch on and around the greens. Very nice clubhouse too. Great play, especially for some of the deals this time of the year. Would definitely recommend playing here if you are in the area.
The Golf Club at Middle Bay
Played On 06/15/2016Great Course, Fast Greens and Wind Makes it a Tough Challenge!
Course is in fantastic condition. Grass is lush from tee to green. Greens were running between a 10-11 and very undulating which made them very difficult. Uphill putt you could be somewhat aggressive, but downhill putts you had to barely touch. Moguls around the greens create uneven lies. Sand traps were beautiful as well. It was a calm day, but because the course is on the water, the wind was constantly blowing 20+ which only added to the challenge. The holes had a lot of character as well with some picturesque views. It was a pleasure to play and I would recommend it to anyone.
Water Gap Country Club
Played On 04/30/2016Nice Layout But Needs Lots of Work
Was in the area on vacation and had never played this course before. The layout was pretty nice with some elevated tees and greens and quite a few unique holes. Unfortunately, the conditions were pretty terrible. Many tees boxes were beat up with bare spots and weeds growing on them. We were told the fairways were just cut the day before, and yet on a majority of the holes, you couldn't tell the difference between the rough and the fairways. Greens were bumpy and slow and you could tell the type of grass on the greens was the issue. We played on a Saturday and one hole had a 4 group backup. While there is a lot of potential here, a big overall needs to be done before I would play here again. I would recommend trying to play any of the other courses in the area before coming here, which is a shame.
Crab Meadow Golf Course
Played On 12/11/2015Nice Course In Good Shape
Played in Mid-December and the course was in great shape. Greens were smooth and quick. Course has a lot of character...some doglegs, uphill and downhill holes, small, undulating greens and even water on a few holes. Not a tremendously long course, but an emphasis is put on picking the right clubs and hitting to the right spots.
Heatherwood Golf Club
Played On 11/02/2015Short Course, But Still A Nice Challenge
The course is a 18 hole executive course but much better than any traditional executive course you may have played prior. Holes range from 120 - 380 yards and the greens are the challenge. The course was in very good condition with only a few spot having a bunch of leaves making it hard to find balls. The greens are generally large, but they were very quick and true and if you find yourself on the wrong side of any green, a 3-putt awaits. Overall, for the $$ it's a nice course to practice your irons and short game and plays quicker than your traditional 18 hole course (just over 3 hours).
Regulation Eighteen at Smithtown Landing Golf Club
Played On 10/30/2015Great Course with Small, Challenging Greens
I played in the early afternoon and was very happy with the round. The tee time came with some range balls to loosen up and then I went out. The course is not long (Just over 6,100 yards from the back tees), but it is definitely a shot-maker's course. The toughest park of the course are the small, undulating greens. If you miss the greens, it is tough to chip since the greens are extremely quick and run out a lot and the day I played, almost every pin was tucked in a tough spot. Even if you hit the greens, almost every green can bring a 3-putt into play, especially if you are on a wrong tier or slope. Overall, the course was in fantastic condition and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Played On 09/03/2015Picturesque Course That Is A Must-Play!
Got a Hot Deal on a Thursday and was excited to play this course for the first time in just about 10 years. The clubhouse was beautiful and the entire facility was picturesque and taken care of very well. Course was in impeccable condition with manicured tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers. There are a lot of sand traps and water hazards on this course so it is challenging, but there are lay-up areas and spots where you can miss it so it is fair. Overall, it is one of the top public courses on the island and a must play!
Great Rock Golf Club
Played On 08/21/2015Great Course, Great Deal!
I have played this course a few times over the years but this was as good as I have ever seen it. Greens were pristine and running very quick, fairways and tee boxes were in good shape as well. Course tends to be pretty narrow which makes up for the fact that it is only 6200+ yards from the back tees. Greens are large and have lots of ridges and with the speed they were running, you better have your putter working here. Overall, it was a great experience and played in almost exactly 4 hours. If you are in the area, try to get here and see what it is all about!
Wow! Awesome thank you for this stellar review, glad you enjoyed the challenge and the experience of playing at Great Rock Golf Club. We're glad pace of play was in your favor too. Come back soon!
Dogwood/Oak Tree at Middle Island Country Club
Played On 08/03/2015Solid, Fun Course with Quite a Few Really Great Holes
First time playing the course and I was very happy with the experience. I got the tee time as a Hot Deal and it was more than reasonable. I got to the course and was able to get right out as a single. The front 9 (Oak Tree), was relatively narrow but fair and even if you end up wayward, you can find your shots. The 9th hole was the most memorable on this 9...otherwise, just some doglegs and a few challenging par 3s. The second nine (Spruce) had a little more character, especially the last 4 holes. The course is relatively long from the White Tees, and roughly 7000+ from the back tees so its a good challenge, but fair too. The course was in very good condition and the greens were rolling good, just not overly fast. Overall, I was very happy with the course and will look to play it again.

Played On 07/14/2015Great Course and a Great Deal to Go With It!
Went out as a twosome and did not run into anyone else. Course had people out there, but everyone was moving at a good pace so that no one ran into the next group. Course was in fantastic condition with the greens running about a 10 (according to the pro) and everything was green and lush. Very tight course so if you are spraying the ball, you will have a very long day. The course isn't long, but the tough, large greens and narrow fairways more than make up for it. Have played the course about a dozen times over the years, and it is always an enjoyable experience!
Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club
Played On 06/08/2015Interesting course with a great layout
I had played here two times prior and had enjoyed the course in the past. The entire course from tee to green was in very good condition. It is not a long course (6200 yards fron the tips), but there is an emphasis on shot making and especially short game. The greens are what makes this course a very good challenge. Decent sized greens with extreme slopes and very tough pin placements always make chipping tough and make 3-putts possible on any given hole. Played as a twosome in under 4 hours and really enjoyed the course! A must play of you leave anywhere within reach.
The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 02/03/2015Great Course, Great Conditions, Great Deal!
We booked a mid-afternoon tee time for only $17! When we got to the course, we were able to get right out and the conditions were as good as you could ask for...fairways were tightly cut and green, sand traps were well defined, green were smooth and rolled true. The front 9 was the shorter of the two nines, but much more tight and the tougher of the two in my opinion. The back nine was a little more open, but you still had to hit good shots to keep in play. So many holes were memorable and had a lot of character. This course normally charges $89 in the AM, and it is one of the few courses that is worth the money. Getting the deal that we did was an absolute steal and would definitely love to play again. A+
