Don’t overpay

Good track overall, played the South and North courses, and didn’t get to experience the West. Oddly enough, the first 3 holes on the South are in the basin that runs through the middle of the town, and that was very interesting. When I arrived, there were like 2 range balls left and had to wait several minutes for those to be refilled. Cart was missing cooler so had to replace that. Houses and the resort came into play nearly the whole time and felt very similar to our local country club course. Save the money and find a hot deal here or don’t pay full price!

Great value in the desert

Love coming back here for a nice practice round and to get the driver out and work on ball striking. Not much danger on the course with it being fairly open, and uniquely situated in desert hot springs which is a fair drive, but no longer than some of the commuting out here. We had extreme wind that day and the wind will likely be the case in the spring, so be aware of that. For $35, there is no better value overall in my mind if you want a good practice day or a quick round with friends. Finished last round in less than 3 hours.

A must play

The Gary Player course at Mission Hills North is a must play and definitely recommend going every trip down here. It is right up there in my rankings with some of the PGA West courses, and in every aspect it is a fantastic track. Not only the layout but the practice facilities, the staff got my bag for me from the parking lot and got my cart ready, and every time I go I am impressed in all aspects. Definitely worth every dime and don’t waste your time playing 2 decent courses when you could play here once.

Good value but don’t expect much

Great place to play a round for good value in the desert. We had a bunch of wind this time that messed things up but aside from that, it’s a unique course with a good layout. They have let the fairways and bunkers go overall, kind of a shame. I’d recommend it for a good practice round but not even close to a top level course in the area.

Better than most cc/private courses

The S was a nice surprise as a manicured and somewhat simple layout. What was unique was the amount of water on the course, coming into play without having houses staggered throughout like many private/cc courses in the desert. There is a really cool island fairway hole and the greens were a nice challenge. However, I would only go again if I got another hot deal, the regular rate for ~80 or 90 I believe you can do a little bit better for your money. Staff was amazing, and will be back.

Beware of back 9

Great track on the front 9. Beware of construction throughout the back that makes it dusty and loud. Knew it coming in and the value was good despite that. Fun track overall though and would recommend for anyone passing through.

In Need of Revitalization

If you’re looking for a good place to play in the Palm Springs area, unfortunately this probably isn’t it. You have myriad courses to choose from, and for 40-60 per round here, you’re better off finding an afternoon rate at a different course. Also, the staff was fantastic and accommodated our early start time, and the course was well maintained overall. In dire need of restoration to get out of the 60’s and enter the same competitive domain as other nearby courses.

Stellar Resort Golf

The Pete Dye course is a must play for your time in this area. It stacks up well to other comparable courses, and the service was excellent and the course conditions couldn’t be better. I will definitely be back and am very impressed.

True Desert Experience

The desert dunes course has a very diverse layout to other courses I have played in the area. With massive sprawling fairways and different holes all over the course, it favors a player who is long off the tee, and I enjoyed getting to use my fairway woods across many of the longer par 4’s and par 5’s. Plus, very lush greenery in the middle of the desert gives it a true oasis feel. Definitely would recommend.

Great Value Course

If you’re looking for a $30-$40 round in the area, this is a great place to get some practice in and play in the sun. I have previously played the Resort course and would rather play there again over the Legend course, but I would recommend either for somewhere to play if you’re looking for value. The staff was honest and true about conditions and I’d have to say I’ll likely be back.

Find a Cheap Tee Time

First time playing Indian Canyons and I’d have to say I’m thankful I had a hot deal time to get the price down. The normal tee time price was 2x what my girlfriend and I paid, and that definitely reflected the conditions. The cart path was dirt/mud and overall the layout of the North course is straight, flat, and very forgiving. The overall experience was positive though and the fairways in particular were in great condition. I can imagine the South course is where you get a better deal, and will likely try to play there instead next time.
