My daughter and son-in-law gave me a gift card for Christmas. Stopped yesterday morning and walked on, played without ever waiting, enjoyed the beautiful weather and got over feeling intimidated after I realized that I should have been playing from the "2 Poppies" tees instead of the "3 Poppies".

The course is in outstanding condition and the staff made the round a very pleasant one.

In December I bought the Winter Pass (unlimited play during December, January and February). I loved playing the course 20-30 times during that period. The course (though pretty short) is kept in EXCELLENT condition by a great staff. The fairways are in good condition, the greens are difficult but in great shape as are the traps.

This course is one of the best values in the Monterey area.

The course is in great shape, but we got stuck behind two groups that were incredibly slow and wouldn't let us play through. Didn't see the marshall until we got to #18 and he said they expect it to take more than four hours. We waited on every hole and every shot for those guys and it ruined a beautiful day on the course.

Greens are mostly in terrible shape. Wouldn't go back until they at least re-do the greens.

Playing from the whites makes it a VERY short course. The blues are more like the whites on other courses. The greens are in excellent shape and are moderately challenging.
