Golf Club At Fleming Island
Played On 05/11/2018Juniors Everywhere
We arrived at the course, and after hitting balls went to the first tee and there were 8 carts lined up waiting to tee off. There was some kind of Junior play going on and we were behind it. We called the pro shop and asked if we could go off of #10 and they let us. The play was very slow. The greens ran pretty good but some of them were starting to burn on the edges. There was a lot of play where there was wet soil with tire tracks running through the fairway. Not because of rain because we have had none for a week. The fairways were thin, almost dead pan and you needed to pick the ball off the turf. We also noticed a LOT of trash on the course. Bottles and cans and papers, seems like the maintenance was not very thorough.
Some of the cart paths were very worn on the course too.
Laurel Island Links
Played On 05/03/2018No Frills
We played this course because of the price. We haven’t played in over a year so we didn’t want to spend a lot of $$. It met that qualification. The range was okay and the course was nothing special but for the price it was good enough. Some of the greens rolled pretty nice but some were starting to burn out. Some tee boxes looked pretty bad too. The staff was nice and helpful.
Omni Amelia Island Resort - Ocean Links
Played On 05/31/2016Tiny Greens
The course was island style golf. Sandy cart paths, wide fairways and the green to tee separation is not good on most holes. You could be teeing off and 10 yards away is a green. The layout was crazy and sometimes hard to follow where the next hole was. It doesn't flow like a normal course. The ocean holes were nice but not fantastic. Some of the pins were placed in the most impossible places to hole a putt.
I would not play the course again. I am glad I did not pay full price to play.
Bear Creek Golf Club

We played this course on the final day of the AJGA golf tournament. It was all slicked up for their play and the course was in great shape. The greens were extremely fast and it was nicely manicured. If we are in the Hilton Head area again, we would definitely play this course again.

This course was okay. The greens ran pretty good.
The layout itself was somewhat boring. There was water on almost every hole, but it wasn't really in play.
It was mostly tee to green play. For the price it was good, but if you don't get a deal with golf now, I would not pay to play.
Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Heritage Oaks Golf Club
Played On 01/21/2015This course is a jewel!
We were so surprised to find such a nice course in an area that you would not expect it. The greens were quick and true.
It was a resort-style course for peanuts.
This course is about 1 1/2 hours out of Jacksonville.
Indian Wells Golf Resort - Players Course
Played On 10/30/2013Lots of Fun
We played this course on Oct. 30 and we had a wonderful time. This course has 7 tee boxes so you can choose which is best for you. The course was very nicely kept and the views were spectacular. Take your camera because you won't want to miss a single hole. I would definitely play this course again.

This course was moderately challenging. The fairways and rough were in good condition. The greens were not running fast due to over-seeding but there were no crispy edges or major problems with the greens. There course was not marked well and there were no attendants to clean or transfer your clubs. There was no starter either. We had to find the range on our own and just get in line for the start. Pretty much no frills!
Eagle Landing Golf Club
Played On 3/16/2013No carts available!
We arrived early to the course to warm up and hit practice balls. When we showed up, there were no golf carts available for our bags to go on, so we took some clubs and went to the range to hit balls,. While we were there, the cart boy brought us a cart up and he put our things on the cart and we continued to putt and practice. 15 min. before our tee-time, we showed up at the club house to get beverages and use the restroom. When we pulled up the cart boy takes our carts away and tells us that we are going to have to wait for another cart to come in because some people just showed up who had a tee-time just ahead of us and they did not have a cart for them. We had to unload all of our stuff and wait until someone came around on 18 to get another cart. (This is really bush-league and unprofessional.) We discussed leaving, but stayed to play a 5 hour round that was not worth it. The course was not manicured and that I definitely would not play it again. The pictures they show look nothing like the real course. The entrance to the facility looks nice and the clubhouse is nice, but the course itself has a lot to be desired. The words "goat farm" come to mind when I think of this course. Don't waste your money or your time!!!!
Golf Club At South Hampton
Played On 3/14/2013Really quick greens
The course was pretty slow. We were only able to complete our 4 1/2 hour round because a lot of people in front of us dropped out after 9 holes. The starters were really cordial and helpful. I would play the course again, once the grass comes in. It was pretty dry out when we played and it was like hitting off of concrete. The greens were very fast, but it was also hard to hold a shot on the green.
Thanks Debra! We are happy you got a chance to play Bear Creek HH and glad you enjoyed your time on the island. See you again soon!
