North Hampton has always been one of my favorite courses for years. Was very disappointed with the condition of the greens. Especially given that the rates still reflect optimum playing conditions. A morning and weekend round is still $75. We went out int he afternoon and paid $42. Also was embarrassed as I brought a business associate from out of town. I would have gone to one of the Amelia Island courses had I known the condition of the greens. Also just shaking my head when I was told the "why's" behind the conditions. Sure sounded like a lack of Florida experience, IF the information was accurate. No notice as to the condition on the website. This will not be a quick fix. Fairways were also surprisingly sparse, but that can be remedied by playing spring rules. Here's hoping the newer owners figure it out. Oh, I see that one still can't get a beer and a sandwich after a round if the sun is setting. Just weird....

Greens were patchy and a little slow but the ball rolled true. Fairways were thin on grass and hard. There has been a real lack of rain in the area for several weeks, which could be the core issue. Pace of play was bad, especially the 2nd nine, and the cart attendant mentioned it at the end of our round before we could. Said it was due to "one group". Natural question....if they knew it, where was a ranger to police the folks?

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would have stayed for a late lunch but the round ran too long.

Cimarrone is a challenging golf course, and I hope it gets in a little better condition this spring/summer. its a bit of a hidden gem when in good shape.

....greens had been punched and in typical fashion there was no communication about this when booking the tee time. The rest of the course was in its usual good to very good condition, and the people are generally great to work with and be around. But...paying full price and bringing a customer, consider the experience diminished.
