So disappointing.. what used to be one of the nicer courses in the area is now a complete dump :( bunkers are filled in with patches of grass.. wanna drive the cart on the fairway? Impossible. Huge bumps and potholes through every single fairway. Greens surprisingly in good shape but that’s about it. Spend $20 extra and go to golf club of Houston..
The Rawls Course at Texas Tech
Played On 06/29/2020Greens are in scary bad shape
Was driving to Colorado and decided to stop by the Rawls course. It’s been on my TX bucket list for some time. Saw the last review from a month ago saying the greens were horrendous & thought there’s no way the Rawls Course would have unplayable greens. I was wrong. Hopefully they can bounce back because I felt like I was playing a muni with beautiful fairways.

Grew up playing this course, and it is by far in the worst condition it’s ever been. Staff is very friendly but no one managing pace of play. Tee boxes are rock hard, fairways are dry and cracked in some spots, and greens are rough on some holes. I love this course, when it’s in good shape it plays well but I don’t know what’s going on as of recently. Hopefully they get it back in order.
