Solid Layout in Saratoga County

Course is in excellent shape right now. Fairly open layout, but several greens have significant undulations, making downhill putts pretty tricky. Nice mix of long and short holes - plenty of room to break out the driver on a lot of holes. Pace of play was close to 5 hours, which is really too long considering that the course is pretty wide open and looking for balls shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks, bjvadney for the 4-star review. We love that you had a good time on the course and we appreciate you letting us know about the pace of play. We will address that with our staff and we hope to see you back again very soon, this time for a much faster round!

Outstanding Value for Your Money

A group of eight of us play in the Saratoga area every August and we will never take Hiland off of our course list. Course conditions were excellent, layout has a great mix of long and short holes, all staff was extremely friendly and helpful. As good a course as you can find for $50 including cart on a Saturday morning in peak season.

Course in good shape despite recent heavy rains

Lyman Orchards - Jones Course is always a favorite of mine in central CT. Heavy June rains have slowed the greens and softened the low lying areas on the back nine, but the course is still in excellent condition. We played as a twosome and breezed around in about 3 1/2 hours - practically unheard of on a Saturday in July (maybe hot weather turned others away). Staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be back.
