Challenging course, beautiful surroundings
Redone bunkers are excellent with new sand and new design. Greens are hard to hold, but roll true. Slightly elevated greens and thick second cut of rough present extra challenges.
Accuracy is a premium when playing this course.

Tough but fair course, beautiful surroundings
Great and challenging layout, but tough on inaccurate players. Second cut of rough is difficult, third cut is impossible. Bunkers are the worst element of the Woodlands course, as sand is sparse and pebbly making bunker play more difficult than ordinarily.
Greens decent and roll true, but hard to hold.
However, layout and surroundings make up for any shortcomings.
