The course was in good shape not excellent shape. I would give it a 6.5 out of 10 for condition. The price point should be $40.00 for weekday play and $60.00 for weekend play. $30.00 for twilight would be a good price point for weekday play. You can at least get a tee time at this course, which is a plus. Golf has gotten expensive and weird after the Covid-19 situation. This course quotes a price and you know what you are paying for including the cart. Other courses quote prices and then when you get to the course they hit you with another $20.00 for a cart after charging you more than they used to before Covid-19. Like I said, golf has gotten more expensive and weird at a time when people ostensibly have less money. It seems like so many more people are playing golf with more time on their hands. Where is the money coming from? As for me, I am retired, so nothing has changed in my time and financial situation. It just seems very different to me, that's all.

Judging by what I observed as far as course conditions, this course will not be ready to play until February 2020. If the maintenance crew does everything right as far as bringing the course up to par, 3 to 4 months will be needed.

I really enjoyed this golf course. I like the fact that the owner is putting money back into the golf course as far as maintenance. I don't care about amenities. I just want to show up and play golf and this golf course is perfect for that. I have played Bonita golf course and both of the Sycuan golf courses and I can say that I like Cottonwood golf course better. Bonita GC costs about $46.00 with cart and Sycuan about $100.00 with cart. Cottonwood costs $33.00 with cart. I hope that Cottonwood GC has found a sweet spot for revenue and sticks around for the long haul.

I have played this course many times and find it a pleasant experience every time.

I live 2 miles from this course which makes this course my course of choice, especially for practice as the practice facilities are outstanding.
