Visiting from Florida, saw this course as the top rated around the Charlottesville area where I’m staying. Amazing course. So amazing that I booked another tee time there the next day. Cheap tee time through GolfNow. Worth every penny. Very well manicured and a variety of types of holes. Didn’t see any poorly kept areas other than what they already have sectioned off and currently working on. Highly recommend this course if your looking for value, well kept, and only an hour outside of Charlottesville. Only downside was no beer cart or having the bar open during play. Vending machines available.

First time playing this track. Stayed away because of poor reviews from earlier this year. Whatever was wrong before certainly didn’t show today. Tee boxes good, fairways great, greens perfect. Interesting layout with some very tough holes and very easy, somewhat boring ones as well. But nothing unfair. The only complaint I have and why it’s 4 stars is because of the ancient carts. Apparently they have voltage problems (staff is aware, they say it’s not a charging issue) where they have trouble going uphill. Had to switch out after 9 because we literally had to push it up the hill on #9. Fix the cart issues and it’s a 5 star review.

Half the greens are in terrible condition. Played this course months ago during rainy season and they were no where near this bad. Today the greens were either decent or just plain unputtable. I’d be really upset if I stayed at the resort and this is what you’d pay for, but luckily I live close by. Hopefully they can get these greens back to conditions worthy of a resort. Tee boxes and fairways were good to excellent. Very tight golf course and deceptively long from the back tees. This course is all about the tee shots. Can’t stray too far off, but still fun.

Played back 9 twice, cart path only. No biggie, it’s Florida and really wet this summer. Was told the front 9 hasn’t been open for a week but no warnings on GolfNow. There is a difference between wet and unplayable. Today was unplayable. 30-40% of the entire back 9 was either under water, standing water, or that squeaky mush of water/soil/grass. At one point I couldn’t find a dry spot within 30 yards of my tee shot and ended up just placing it in the rough. Keeping the back 9 open and charging full rate is just wrong. Love this course when playable, but for now it’s just too wet and letting us golfers continue to play on it is just making course worse.

Every review below me that rates this course anything above 1 star isn’t telling the truth or is profiting from this course. Every single green has a ton of bar spots, uncut grass, and unnecessary bumps everywhere. Yes it’s improved from the summer, but my back yard had better grass than their greens over the summer. Any shred a green grass you find would be considered an improvement. That’s how bad they were over the summer. Same for the fairways, and the rough is non-existent. It’s a shame they are still charging the exact same rate for conditions this bad. Spend an extra $10 and find another course. They need to shut this course down and let the grass grow.

Courses around the Tampa area have been taking a hit with the recent drought and now constant rain. But this course has held up very well. Greens are near perfect and fairways were plush. Best $12 I've spent in a long time!

Old style course. Not too much water. Fun layout. For the drought we are having, these are the best greens in town. Can't beat the Deal Times $15 ($20 with fees and taxes). I will definitely make this one of my regular visits.

Played here couple years ago, conditions were just averaged. Played this past Tuesday and was way better than expected conditions. Greens were pretty much perfect, fairways had only a few brown spots, and tee boxes were very average (hard to find a flat surface). Fun course though that makes you think about your tee shot from the very first hole. Don't always need the big stick. Had a "hot deal", showed up early to practice, and the starter offered me to tee off whenever I was ready. Good hospitality. I will definitely be back!!
