It started in the parking lot. We were taking our clubs (2 of us) out of the car when the shuttle pulled up and left immediately without us even though she saw us. We waited a few minutes and she came back and told her our tee time was in half an hour. She then drove through the lot and picked up a guy who had just pulled in and was teeing off on an hour. Didn't seem right that she ditched us to begin with.
Next she took us to where all the carts were parked and and when I took my clubs off her shuttle I I noticed my head cover gone from my 4 wood. I inquired but nobody seemed to care.
Paying for the round of golf In the pro shop was quick and seamless.
Went out to hit balls on the range and a little while longer I heard our tee time being announced. Went back to the cart to head to 1st tee but there was no key in it. Sat there for a few minutes and nobody came so I went and found a guy who snootily told me he had the key but to just go and wait and if i didn't want to then to go back to my room (as if i would ever stay at the Westin). Went back and waited and he finally came. At this point I was angry. Went to first tee and they were already backed up. Teed off 15 mins late.
Now about the course itself. The greens were pathetically slow and probably hadn't been mown for a week or two. The sand traps were hard as rock so a proper sand shot was impossible around the greens. But worst of all was the pace of play. We were waiting close to 5 minutes for each shot. The group ahead of us (2 men and 2 women) were insufferably slow and the women were playing 2 balls each. They could care less that they were holding up the entire course. Complained to the ranger but he would do nothing about it. So frustrating!
We finally left after 15 holes as the round had taken over 4 hours to that point and it was too frustrating to go on.
