Allandale Golf Course
Played On 08/15/2013Sub-par is usually a good thing...Not here.
While this course will give you a quick 9 or 18 hole experience, the staffs attitude will be enough to make you want to never return. The fact that this course was named a top 9-hole course to play has surely gone to the staffs collective ego's as they are quite dismissive of any golfers that are new to their course, and that attitude starts with the owner and works its way down the totem pole. The course itself is in "okay" condition. The greens are small which makes you need to be able to hit it and stick it. Don't bother trying to get a handle on green speeds as they change at each hole. Some of the greens have skull marks from low cutting which provides for a thrill as you may hit the green on a par 3, only to still have a form of a bunker shot for birdie.
If you are looking for a course near home, are a beginner, or perhaps are of the age that you should be on the champions tour (or older) then this is a course for you. But as said earlier, the staffs attitude towards customers makes for a lousy experience. Very bad ettiquette
