Nice little course

Good course for short game practice. Played quickly on a perfect day, although groups behind appeared to be slowed quite a bit by family foursomes. Greens were in excellent shape for the price and drought, some had significant/multiple breaks. Tee boxes a bit chewed up, but not terrible. Twilight rate is great.

Nice November day

Great course but quite short. Front nine is what it is, a strange parkland layout with back-to-back par 3's to start, two very short par 4's and then back to back par 5's.
Back nine was amazing. Had a clear, warm day with little wind which made it play pretty easy. Overall conditions were pretty good.
Played on a Wednesday and the place was pretty busy, started having to wait on every shot starting at #3. At the turn, an elderly couple came out of nowhere and wedged in between us and the group just behind. They got pretty belligerent about pace of play and starting hitting into us, even though we were waiting on every shot too. Marshall was there and tried to help. Even though it felt super slow, we finished in 4:15.

EH Weekend Round

Course was in pretty good shape. I play here mostly to practice short game and have some beers. Two groups waved me through, as I was a single, otherwise would have been a slow day (teed off at noon).
Kudos to the course for having rebuilt many tee boxes, which used to be a big issue here. Greens were in great shape for a $16 par 3 course.

Rainy Season Review

Played the first week of July in early afternoon for a GN Hot Deal price, which I would recommend. I would not go near full or even half rack rate in the current course condition. Overall the course has a lot of promise but conditions are not up to snuff. A few holes are a bit over the top with forced carries/water/bunkers.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the fairways; looked like grass 'corn rows', very uneven and hard to draw a fair lie. Course doesn't seem to drain well, as every tee shot plugged/mudded (did not happen at Marina Vallarta course, which had pristine fairways same week). Played quite long from the Blues. The greens were livable but very slow and a bit bumpy, grass just didn't look healthy. Much of this may just be rainy season effects, but again, Marina didn't have those problems.

Course maintenance crews were a real bother for the first 6 holes, seemed to be driving by, mowing, idling awkwardly just behind the tee box, etc on every single shot. We teed off around noon.

Pro shop folks were nice, as was Marshall that drove around to us many times and brought free cold bottled water and ice towels - that was awesome. Clubs and shoes cleaned after the round, sweet.
We only saw two other groups the entire round.

Nice on a holiday weekend

Pretty fast play on a holiday weekend afternoon. Greens are slow but pretty true. High winds make this course a challenge from Blue/Black tees, especially some of the long par 3's and long par 4's.
Only complaints are fairway grass not mowed recently (shaggy), bunkers inexplicably wet/packed down and lots of goose droppings, twice in the line of my putt.
Overall would recommend due to value, pace of play. Great place to work on your game.

Great early summer conditions

Played here at noon on a super hot June Saturday (90+ degrees). Usually this place is very backed up on weekends, but today it moved pretty well. There was no one behind us for 2-3 holes, probably due to the heat. Walked it in 3:45 w/ about 25 minutes of total waiting.

The greens were in GREAT shape for a muni/exec style course. Rolling true all day. Fairways/fringe were in good shape and fast. Tee boxes were better than usual but still by far the weakest link in terms of maintenance - there is no excuse for having an uneven lie/stance while standing in the tee box.

If they keep the greens this good all summer, I'll be back often.
