We’ve played Celebration previously - whenever we visit from FL’s west coast, and this time was a bit disappointing. The course is still good, but not in as pristine a condition as we had previously experienced - ragged around the greens, weedy and bare patches and many soggy areas in fairways and rough. We booked a tee time that included free lunch, but the restaurant was closed and we could get only a hot dog or prepared sandwich at the snack bar. The staff, as always, was excellent and it’s a very friendly place. We’ll be back and hope that it will return to it’s usual excellent condition.

Celebration is a public course that feels like an exclusive private club. Everything from the locker room to the golf cart was sparkling, and the course itself looked like a pristine nature preserve. As a female golfer, I especially appreciate the friendliness of the staff; many courses do not share that attribute. The driving range (over water) and practice greens are conveniently located, and in excellent condition. The course itself is challenging, but not overly daunting to the average golfer. The terrain is interesting, with plenty of water, lots of wildlife, and many opportunities for lost balls. But overall, this course is a pleasure to be on, and really fun to play.
