Mountain Shadows Golf Course
Played On 07/18/2018all greens were in excellent condition
perfect place to practice your iron game.
miss the green and your next shot will cause
you to think! rough is shorter than in March
when it was long and thick.
Talking Stick Golf Club - O'odham Course
Played On 05/14/2018all greens were in excellent condition
This course from tee box to greens was in
excellent conditions.Depending on tee box it can be
easy or forcing you to keep focused
Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2018course conditions are a disgrace
I lived in Scottsdale since 1980 and played the
ranch courses. It has never in any manner had
a failing grade. They have a long time reputation of
overbooking, even given that ?
The only part that was in good condition wetre
most of the greens.
Pay 25% more and get a quality course!
Mountain Shadows Golf Course
Played On 02/17/2018Manager of resort blew me off
I have played the course about 14 times,I find
this allows me to concentrate on my iron game
and putting.I have lived in Scottsdale and understand
that peak season finds most courses overbooking
to some degree, this was the worst.
Without going into length, the Resort manager
happen to come out to the compact area near
the 1st tee I asked why xy&z were taking place.
It was the most disrespectful reply with out
curse words one could have heard!
Mountain Shadows Golf Course
Played On 01/17/2018want to improve your iron game
All but 4 holes you are only hitting irons and
you have 4 different T boxes to hit from.
this allows you to come back again and on
holes that you hit a long iron you can now use a
wedge of different lofts.
The most difficult is putting bring your A game and
practice prior to playing,
Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 01/15/2018course t time delays close to 1 hour
They were short golf carts in a significant number
The greens for the most part were in good
condition. rough was long and uneven.
The pace of play was so slow I had to quit after 12
holes. This was a waste of time and money!
Mountain Shadows Golf Course
Played On 12/25/2017best test of a short game in the east vally
being a par 3 course you are hitting from the
back tees on 3 holes 158 - 189 all of the rest
you will be using 7 irons on up to all types of wedges.
the course was pristine other than the greens as
some still have sand in places. If you miss the
green from the tee box the next shot will not be easy.
If you want to improve your iron play this is the course
to do it on as I have played it 7 times.
Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 08/20/2017best conditions in years
Other than the greens running from slow to fast
the rest of the course given the time of year
was a pleasant surprise. The only negative is
that we only saw the cart girl and that was on
the 15th hole
Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 01/10/2017condition of greens given time of year were lacking
I have played this course back to the 1980's
and for this time of year some fairways lacked
grass in places. the putting was in perfect condition
The course on the majority of holes lacked enough
grass an had holes and ball marks that trying to
a 12 foot was an extra added adventure.
The value of the rate for any course far out weighed
all that was lacking.
Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
Played On 07/11/2016no use of putting green
greens were typical for summer lousy.
fairways were average. sand traps were like cement
Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course
Played On 06/11/2014If the price is tempting.do not take the bait
I have played Padre going back to 1987 and have
never found the course in such poor condition.
only on about 6 out of 18 holes when in the fairway
did you find grass. On 3 holes with in 100 yards of
green the springlers were on.
The majority of the greens it was grass with sand.
From 140 yards in they would not reward a good
golf shot.
I am sure come the fall once again it would be
a Golf Course that upholds the that rates
5 stars.
Starfire Golf Club - The King Course
Played On 11/3/2013putting green only for practice
I had not played this course for almost 2 years and I only
lived 10 minutes from the course.I own a range finder fot
those few courses that do not have gps,They have no even
upgraded to that.
The fairways conditions were very good some greens needed
attention.
I have lived and played Golf in Arizona since 1983,if you need
to warm up forget your score card.I do as a result of knee
and shoulder problems,Stay away from this course if you
share what you read!
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Played On 10/11/2013Is the course for hotels guests, parking is almost a 10 minute walk!
The course was no carts allowed as they had finished about
3 weeks of being closed. The fairways were in excelent shape.
The greens were a different story some almost were like being
on fairway length grass and others had not had time to finish
growing. This made putting quite difficult and getting the greens
to hold 8 irons or lower using 150 yards out or more also
created the same.
The course as most troons courses was both interesting
and challanging for all.I was told that November 1 you could
use a cart as the conditions would allow that.
If you desire to hit balls prior to playing the range was a disgrace as it was long grass 3 to 4 inches in lenght.
Right behind hit was the grass one desired and was told
that would be used starting Nov. 1
McDowell Mountain Golf Club
Played On 9/23/2013Fun Course will help build your ego
Fairways for summer were excellent,as with most courses in
summer the greens were lacking.
If played from the whites course is to easy.If you are 50 or
younger and play atleast once a week play from the blacks
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 9/07/2013Best course in all aspects in the east valley
I have played golf in Arizona since 1980 and having lived
In Scottsdale and all of the courses never wanted to
drive 60 miles round trip.
I wish that I discovered it in prior years.you can compare
this in all aspects to Troon North. This Course will challange
you from 6 different tee boxes.
Kokopelli Golf Course
Played On 9/5/2013nice course the management are rude
I have lived in Arizona since 1980 and played golf quite often.
In all of my years I have never met a management that had
the degree of a total lack of customer service .
You could not get anyone to help you with your bag or to clean
clubs after your round.Want to hit practice balls had to hit off of
a synthetic mat.
Superstition Springs Golf Club
Played On 9/2/2013course forces you to use course management
if you as me had never played the course, do not go out as
a single.
Almost all of the holes force you to adjust your club selection
On 6 holes the driver stays in your bag if you are not driving
the ball 280 or better.
The Phoenician Golf Club
Played On 8/20/2013Greens need to much attention
Besides the greens their even allowing for summer
to many other needs on fairways
Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 2/22/2013Has 2 courses each with change in slope ratings
course was still wet from rain, the greens were much slower on
the back side.
On almost every hole you had tee, fairway and green which
made getting any rythm to your swing very hard.
The value of the golf can not be beat and all of the staff always
will go out of their way to be of help.
Palm at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 1/16/2013other courses in scottsdale have better conditions
The greens would not hold they also went from slow to
this one is much faster. The rough needed to be trimmed way
to high just off the fairway result it way to long to find balls.
Some tee boxes had no grass almost all dirt
The bag boys were of little help as they liked the shade.
Thank you for coming out and playing the Adobe. We strive to provide the best golfing experience in Arizona and your comments help us tremendously address both the positive and negative experiences at the courses. Hope to see you out on the course again.
