Westhill Meadows Golf Course
Played On 08/27/2019Mini pitch and putt
Good for practicing short shots with my son but not much else... very (very) compact pitch and putt...
A bit dangerous, to be honest...
Not that expensive but not really worth the money for an hour of practice.

Very nice course- the greens were quick, there were tough par 3s and some narrow fairways on the longer holes. Lovely spot but with only 9 holes (just go around again- same tee blocks) I wouldn't want to play on the weekend. Club house has no potable water-!?

Played On 06/29/2014Not what it once was....
This was a private course way back when... lots of maintenance, clubhouse nice, etc.
Started to slide and was purchased by Golf North... now unkempt and the course has the look of an adandoned farm (I was told that "irrigation is expensive"...!?)
No divot repair boxes on the tees, no sand in the sand traps (just rocks and ground up dirt), etc..
Very few players on a beautiful Sunday- that tells the story!
Greens not too bad though and the layout is OK.
Only play if you get a cheap rate.
Doon Valley Golf Club - 18-hole Course
Played On 06/27/2014New layout- get a cart!
I hadn't played here for some time (we used to play fairly often in our teens). Another 9 holes added via the marsh and floodplain... not just added as a 3rd set of 9, but incorporated into a new layout... Sort of screwy as you play a grassy, tree lined dogleg par 4... then a couple of (tough) marsh holes, then back up a hill for another long grassy, tree lined par 4..?
Course was in pretty good shape, not too busy and we enjoyed it... for the price... (honestly, not worth regular green fees)
Get a cart- lots of walking.
