Good fairways, really good greens, fast and true, good course to play from the tips. Know your club distances stay in the fairways. Don't let the little par 3 get in your head or you will end up in the water. Good course will play again

Stonehedge North Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort
Played On 5/16/2013Easy to walk, well maintained fairways and greens, nice driving range.
Bring your bug spray! Nice course, play it from the back tees, stay out of the rough, it's about 2". Greens are true and smooth but not extremely fast. Beautiful scenery, nice driving range, good snack bar, cold refreshments.
Harbor Shores
Played On 05/15/2013Challenging difficult greens to read a must play course
This course is great, we played from the back tees with wide fairways you should not have much trouble hitting the fairways. Now the fun starts, you will have to pay attention to your approach shots, a miss here will mean par or bogey. Stay out of the rough, enjoy the scenery and don't short side yourself at the greens. What makes this course great in addition to the staff and the scenery will be your ability to nail your approach shots. You can 3 and 4 (or more) these greens. It is not the speed that makes these greens difficult, it is the pin placements and being able to read the subtle brakes in them. And last the bunkers have very soft sand, unlike most of the other bunkers in Michigan, this is very soft sand. If you end up in a bunker keep in mind, "soft sand=swing hard", "hard sand=swing soft", Swing Hard! The price may be a little high but this is a great value in a local venue that you don't want to miss. This may be hard to believe, but this place is better than Pebble Beach.
Prairies Golf Club
Played On 05/09/2013Good Course, great greens and easy to walk
This course is value for your money. Very little water to worry about. The course is in very good shape. The rough is deep and you do not want to be there. The fairways are nicely maintained and the greens will challenge you putting ability. They are fast, true and firm. They are friendly, from the staff in the Pro shop, the full service bar to the ground crew. Tell your friends and come enjoy a great course that you will want to play again and again. The course was played from the back tees. Small driving range and you can not use a driver on the range, also a small putting green.
