Great shape

We played 4 days after the wrath of Ida. The course showed no signs of flooding, the course was in great shape, the rough was lush.

Trying times

All the area Golf courses are saturated, they have been like this since October and it's only getting worse.
Beekman had a strict cart path only policy when we played. With the soaking conditions, the course played at a good rate. The starter was managing the players going out on 1 and which nine the players coming in for their second nine, he was doing a really good job.
Even with the wet conditions we enjoyed our round.

Nice Course

I have played here for the past 5 years, the course is in very good shape now; beware they are starting to aerate the greens.
Lots of doglegs on this course, your drive must be positioned in the right spot to attack the greens.

I would recommend this course.

Pristine

This is my fourth round at Osprey. I really enjoy playing here, it's like playing in a wildlife scancury. The fairways are not lined with condos or houses, nature lines the fairways.
The course is in great shape and well maintained. The course gets heavy play but you wouldn't know it. This place is well runned and managed, hats off to the staff.

Nice Course

I booked the tee time through Golf Now, reasonable rate.
Upon arrival the bag drop was a little unusual, we parked and went to find our bags. The bags go directly to a cart room where they are loaded on a cart. I guess Woodland CC was private at one time and members would know but I think a little signage would help.
The course was nice, the greens were in terrific shape and rolled true. The staff was friendly but I'm not so sure the members are happy with the "public" playing their course. We were paired with a member and he decided to join the group behind us. My wife and I teed off and never saw them again; we played in 3 hours flat.
As someone stated previously, the surrounding homes are dated and in need of repair and does take a little away from the course.

Mountainous course

First time playing here. There are vast elevation changes. Beautiful views of the Hudson River and NYC.
On most holes, you can only see the hole you are playing, so you better hit it straight. Long drives (cart) between holes; you go up the mountain, down and back up. I don't believe you could walk this course, it would take you 6 hours to play.

The greens were pretty fast, fairways cut real low. The rough can be penal.
